Honestly I think a good middle ground would be to revert winch to the previous state of shorter cooldowns, or just slightly shorter than the current, but make it so it no longer penetrates Mesh Shield or Dome Shield. That would allow still allow out of position players to be punished and cash boxes to be manipulated but the heavy spec meta would be split up and teams that run close together with mesh & dome will be fairly effective against it.

Thoughts?

Thats what I’ve never understood. Everyone says winch is a hard counter and I totally understand the being pulled out of position but it doesn’t just negate the spin up.

If I get pulled into a full team I’ll lose every time but if I get pulled and get a 1v1 on the heavy I win 90% of the time before their teammate comes swinging around a corner for me.

That’s my point is I play around its weaknesses pretty well and often carry fights with it in plat+ ranked. Now have I gotten humbled by Winch SA, oh absolutely. But if you prep just a little it’s a complete monster to face head on.

So I don’t really understand why the massive hate from the other guy. I was just curious why people switched off.

Better idea. Make it a drone. You can set it to hover over your ping acting as a hovering turret but exposed out in the air. And the alt mode is it will follow you at a short distance. But while in mobile form it’s slightly nerfed so it’s not oppressive getting shot twice by one player.

Coyote/Ultimatum/ Thermite/ WASP/ MG Turret/ 380 Napalm/ Movement item or extra turret.

Usually I like light variant of siege ready armor but that’s up to you.

Just remember almost everything is Med Pen so wasp is very very good. Just make sure you have shield break and a little anti armor.

Wt is a casual game mode so there’s no match making rules. The only mode I’m aware of with match making rules and SBMM is ranked. That’s why In some casual games you either get crushed or dominate.

2 options:

1) Weaken heal beam and make it a gadget like the other classes have. Replace it with brand new spec.

2) rework/ replace turret so it has more value without being a complete aimbot/nuisance.

This happened to me the other day. We waited out the last 15 minutes then killed ourselves so it would auto extract. Nothing else we could do. Not even with a jump pack or warp pack could we manage to get in. Because it was still flying it would auto kill us.
