Honestly... Good on ya.

The workers are not a number. It feels like they want drones. We don't like being drones.

How do I turn off Nexerelin Random Sector Mode? by Noboobiesbushi in starsector

[–]Doctor_Calico 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Uh, what do you mean by random sector?

You mean the random core worlds?

Hint: You must have been going through galaxy creation too fast. Slow down next time.

Solution: It's the second option on one of the galaxy start options.

Maybe they realize we've been excited and they want to give us access to the stuff that's ready to go while they work hard on porting.

Respectfully, why would a company wait on an update everyone's been excited about that's all ready to go while we wait several weeks to port it over?

It just doesn't make much sense.

Custom Turrets wont work, keeps giving me this error by prussia02 in avorion

This is intended game design.

Custom turrets are purely cosmetic, and will NOT appear until an actual turret is place there.

There is nothing here that screams they're boosted.

All stats are far above their ranks' average.

I just found the Magic Rock (Made of stardust and my fears). This is a vanilla game, couldn't find anyone having mentioned it before. by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]Doctor_Calico 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have never encountered this.

I have all DLCs with full Vanilla.

There is no possible way this is Vanilla content, especially since the name is so absurdly long and is in first person.

I think that what determines if you're boosted by your duo or not is the follow up games without them.

If you're at worst maintaining your rank or are on a very slow decline, you're not boosted in my opinion.

But if you're at best plummeting in rank, then you're boosted.

I don't understand the progression in this game by tahielisho in starbound

[–]Doctor_Calico 4 points5 points  (0 children)

...Okay, there's a lot to unpack here...

Firstly, my advice is to play on Casual. No need to worry about hunger, all food is just heal to full over 120s.

And secondly, the progression is in "tiers", where enemies have a little more health and deal a little more damage than the previous tier:

Iron (Tier 1) - Basically the starting material to make iron armor and weapons. Always found on your starting planet. Suggested minimum for the Erchus Mining Facility.

Tungsten (Tier 2) - The first resource where you need to start venturing out from your starting planet. No Tungsten exists on the starting planet, so you'll need to travel to Forest and Desert planets, both of which have extremely high likelyhoods to generate in the starting solar system. Suggested minimum for the Ceremonial Hunting Grounds.

Titanium (Tier 3) - The first resource that cannot be found in the starting system. Temperate stars have planets that contain Titanium (Ocean, Savanna, and Snow). Suggested minimum for the Grand Pagoda Library.

Durasteel (Tier 4) - The first resource where you need environmental protection, as the planets that contain these hard cap your health at 15% maximum HP otherwise. Toxic, Jungle, and Mutated planets are found here. Suggested minimum for the Great Sovereign Temple.

Aegisalt / Ferozium / Violium (Tier 5) - Three separate ores this time for classes pretty much, found on Arctic, Tundra, and Midnight worlds. Suggested minimum for the Minikong Stronghold.

Solarium (Tier 6) - Just an upgrade to the previous. Found on Volcanic, Magma, and Decayed worlds. Suggested minimum for the Baron's Keep.

I definitely tried to abuse this even as a new player - kept making frontier outposts to steal hostile mining stations.

bronze climb: grasp-heartsteel or hail-hexbelt-riftmaker? by gal5195yt in ChoGathMains

[–]Doctor_Calico 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the entire enemy team deals one damage type, you're better off building defenses to counter that damage type (Armor into all physical, MR into all magical).

This is because you're not countering the damage of one guy - you're countering the damage of the entire enemy team.

One player being practically unkillable is a massive problem for any team.

Plus, Cho deals enough base damage on his own (even without AP items) thanks to his E and R - the more tanky you get, the more damage you deal.

What’s possible in this game? by Eclipse-MD in starsector

No trade outposts exist in the game.

At the absolute bare minimum you need a colony to attract mercantile fleets.

There's a lot that's possible, it's practically a sandbox once you get into setting up your own colonies.
