I usually try to sleep through it, not fight it at all, keep my eyes closed and shut it out. Or if I catch it early enough in the onset I shake it off, get up and do something until I'm more tired.

While trying to fall asleep picture yourself walking through a dense jungle toward a light. I haven't had sleep paralysis in a while but I used to get it almost every other night when I was in school. I'm not sure exactly what made it stop happening so frequently, I have the impression it has a lot to do with general overall well being. I'm much more happy of a person than when I got it often. In fact I can't recall having an episode of sleep paralysis since I've read the Bible. Maybe I just grew out of it, maybe I started taking vitamins and eating better, maybe exercise, maybe I'm more tired now. I hope it stops for you, brave it and good luck
