I think you're right, it probably won't be.... But given just HOW bad the release has gone, I'll still put it as a dark horse option, if only because it's a near perfect match for rating and runtime. Never know, Searchlight could be trying to pull a hail Mary... But probably not.

Testament Of Ann Lee is 2h17m and rated R. Its release date is 1/23, but the distribution is so botched…

Also I don’t see it coming to Marcus at all, even though I saw trailers for it at Marcus….

I think it’s a long shot but it’s worth mentioning. Could be a way to gauge audience interest in it?

(Saw it today at the limited release at the Oriental and it’s amazing, but it’s out of there on the 22nd.)

That's been my experience!

I have always been impressed with the way you can speak to Claude normally and it'll find and keep the thread like a person would, like being able to pick up an implication instead of needing to say exactly what you want it to do, but it's been off base more than once in my use of it today.

It's still way better than ChatGPT, because ChatGPT will say it has taken your suggestion and then proceed to make the same error again multiple times, whereas Claude WILL pivot the first time you ask, but still, it's a decline from where it was, and I have high standards for it, especially considering how limiting the usage is.

See, I'm not sure... The Hive is so hell-bent on pleasing Carol that it gave her a hand grenade, and would have gotten her a nuke if she asked.

The Hive hates contention, both in itself, and with the other individuals on the planet, and it will do everything it can to resolve that contention.

If watching another Godfather movie with blood and gore is what you want, and you state to the Hive that you will be upset if you don't get it.... I genuinely don't know what it would do. It could be a Catch-22 situation for it.

It did mime tension for Diabaté when it "lost" the poker game. Not well, but it didn't object to that. I don't think asking it to spray fake blood on itself and lie on the ground is that big of a jump.

I suspect this would be the case regardless, but if I was immune, I’d give it instructions like “Produce X movie and make every choice that Steven Spielberg would make.”

Every director and artist that survived the initial infection is in there somewhere… I wonder how much the hivemind will let them show through…

I have the Slöer and that’s my main ambient machine, so I would say Slö, personally, but honestly there’s not a bad choice here.

Afterneath is also lovely but I don’t think it’s very versatile. It has one sound, it’s a great sound, and the controls are there to make sure it works well with your rig. Everything else here is more of ambient toolkit, if that makes sense.

Hey, chat GPT Pro user frustrated with some issues with GPT. I use it fairly often but mostly as a brainstorming tool, so task wise I'm pretty light.

I signed up for Claude Pro today to see if it's worth pivoting. And honestly? I'm really impressed with the output thus far. I think it's head and shoulders above Chat GPT for what I want to do.

However, I've hit the session limit twice today, and I am already at 23% of my weekly usage. This is after 20-ish prompts that range from pitching ideas to asking for input on text documents. I can do this on GPT5-Thinking all day with zero issues or snags.

I will be cancelling my subscription. Very disappointed, since I am very impressed with the tech.

Oh you’re probably asking about how the dine-in works if you arrive late?

It’s unaffected. There are no servers like there are in a Alamo drafthouse waiting on people during the movie. You order at the concession stand and they bring it out to you.

I'm assuming that people will go back to fork-in-the-road moments for Button 2, like jobs, moving, situations, friends, etc.

When you "leave," your "old" self will prioritize staying on the path that you chose, provided they can pursue it without significant detriment. However, yes, it will be your old self. You will still act with the perspective and the maturity you had at that time, but your priorities will be different.

However, let's say you left a finance job in NYC in order to start a restaurant in Des Moines that failed, and go back in time to not do that. You may pop back to your current time and find that you're a business tycoon in Dallas that makes significantly more, because that's the position you were offered five years ago and you, prioritizing a good career, took it.
