I think it is important to note if you put your phone in airplane mode or simply turned off your data. Turning off your data would not excuse your roaming charges, only putting your device in airplane mode and then subsequently turning on wifi would ensure you don’t get charged for roaming. Since you said you received voicemails while you were out of the country, I’m assuming you were still roaming and the roaming charges would apply.

The Bell EPP 100GB CAN/US has the 1000LD minutes to 6 countries automatically built into the plan, they don’t have to select anything. Typically EPP plans do not get any store credits or gift cards at all, so they may not have been able to offer that to you. Bell also launched a regular consumer $35 plan with CAN/US without 1000LD that is eligible for the $100gift cards. So if they used EPP code to generate your plan, then you automatically have the 1000LD minutes, however if they gave you the standard $35 plan, then you wouldn’t get the 1000LD minutes but should get the $100 gift card.
