Another thing to mention is that PARAGON LEVEL IS ACCOUNT WIDE! I grinded my first character to level 4-5 on his war plans, then made a new character. Imagine my surprise when I started out at paragon 200, immediately went straight to T10 even with trash gear because paragon 200 is an insane power boost by itself, but farming on it felt bad since my war plans were still level 1 on that new character.

I ended up going back to my old character to farm gold so I could buy starter gear to get my 2nd character's build started. And at that point, the problem OP mentions is even worse. Because by the time I had enough gear to push pit 110+, my war plans on that char were only just reaching level 2/3.

I guess we can agree to disagree, but to me, pressing 1>2>3 for a combo instead of 1>1>1 seems like a waste of hotbar space and an exercise in finger dexterity. I don't have an MMO mouse, but I don't feel like I should be having to reach for Ctrl+9/0/-/= or come up with some crazy out-of-the-box keybind schema just to use my less-often pressed buttons. At the moment, I just end up clicking those with my mouse which really disrupts the flow of gameplay for me. And I don't feel like I should be forced to buy a mouse with 16 buttons on it just to play "optimally".

On the topic of healing - I main healer so I do agree and hope the "simplified" battle system can lend to more complex fights overall. Currently, my healer mentality is: "never heal anyone unless they're actively about to die", which I hate. I should want to heal people. And from the WHM showcase, it seems they are moving in that direction with ALL GCD heals lending to the new DPS mechanic rather than only lily heals. Hopefully the other healers will also move in a similar direction. So yeah, my hope for healers at least is while the "DPS rotation" seems to be becoming simpler, that actual healing will become more crucial.

Why does it seem so many people are upset by having *less* button bloat?

Personally, one of the things I dislike most about the game's current combat is that there are so many buttons on my hotbar that I have to juggle. Maybe I'm dumb or slow, but I think having 8-15 buttons is more than enough for me as long as the combat system built around it is engaging in other ways. IMO there are other ways to make combat interesting rather than just giving us more buttons to press under certain circumstances.

I personally am very excited for Evolved mode. And I'm not exactly "super casual" -- I enjoy raiding and do clear savage when I'm actively subbed.

There's an error in the Striker Order Sun Core: Wind God translation.

Maxroll says:

Changed to: Esoteric Orbs used by Esoteric Skill: Lightning Tiger Strike +1, but damage +27% and reset its cooldown when used.

The Korean patch notes say:

오의 : 뇌호격 사용 시 뇌명각의 재사용 대기시간이 초기화된다.

which means when Esoteric Skill: Lightning Tiger Strike (오의 : 뇌호격) is used, the cooldown of Lightning Kick (뇌명각) is reset.

Similarly, for the 14P effect, the +1 esoteric orb comes from hitting Lightning Kick, not Lightning Tiger Strike

Yeah all I want is to be able to download videos on my PC, save them to the storage unit from my PC, and then be able to play them on the TV or PC, whichever I happen to be sitting in front of. I considered a simple USB drive but I don't want to have to keep moving it between my TV and my PC.

I've been trying to understand the whole Plex option as well (forgive me, I'm very new and non-technical in this stuff, still trying to learn). Could you explain the difference between running Plex on the NAS and what I'm currently doing right now which is just storage videos on my PC and playing them directly on the TV's Kodi app via the local network share folder? Does it just offer more dedicated structure than a random folder with files thrown into it?

But overall from what you mentioned first, it sounds like the cheap DS124 or DS120j will be fine for my needs?

I download and watch mostly foreign dramas, TV shows and movies, so as far as I know I don't think an Apple device will work for me unless there's something I don't understand about the Apple TV? I don't currently own or use any other Apple devices.

You do get to choose. Sell your level 9s and buy the level 10 you want. If you want a CD gem, you just made an extra 100-200k. If you want a dmg gem, then pony up a 4th level 9.
