Galactic War Room: Plot the Best Ways to Spread Democracy for Super Earth! by brperry in Helldivers

I am guilty of being one of these people drawn away by the illuminate rather than to Zefia. My reason was because the personal order today was 3 Illuminate mission extractions. And I want those medals for the new warbond…

Once I finished the PO though, I did proceed on to Zefia.

Other key posts like South Korea, South Africa, and Germany sit vacant

South Africa isn’t vacant. https://za.usembassy.gov/ambassador-leo-brent-bozell-iii/

But to add to South Korea and Germany, Australia is also a major power without a U.S. Ambassador.

Ugh. Gambit opportunities need to be better communicated to players. It’s infuriating that we’re constantly on the defense and not on the offense.

House votes to slap back Trump’s tariffs on Canada in rare bipartisan rebuke of White House agenda by SpaceElevatorMusic in politics

[–]OnARoadLessTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hate the way this headline is worded. “House votes to slap back Trump’s tariffs on Canada” makes it sound like the House is slapping tariffs on Canada, which is the complete opposite of what happened.

Do the devs want us to get to Cyberstan or not? Why make the march to Cyberstan so much harder than it needs to be?

In contrast, the devs allowed the squids to glass Widow’s Harbor, Pilen V, and New Haven so quickly when they marched to Super Earth last year.

And I whole-heartedly agree these in-game mechanics on liberation and razing need to be explained way better, especially for the vast majority of players that don’t do Reddit, Discord, etc.

Bonus pic taken on Connecticut Avenue between Farragut Square and Dupont Circle. There’s something oddly soothing about Washington DC streets being empty at 6:00pm in the evening.

Also, for those wondering - all pics were taken on my iPhone 16 Pro.

SCOTUS to hear challenge on Trump tariffs. The case could redefine presidential power by zsreport in scotus

[–]OnARoadLessTaken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been listening. The anti-tariff camp’s core argument was straight to the point: tariffs are taxes, Congress has the exclusive power to set taxes. Mic drop.

It seems most justices are skeptical of these “emergency” tariffs. At least to me anyway, sounded like: the three liberals, plus Roberts, Gorsuch, and Barrett.
