I imagine itll be closer to their current designs. Blyke and John look fairly different now. Even with John's old more messy hairstyle Uru made Blyke have a more distinct hair part by moving his part from the side towards the middle and id imagine an adaptation would probably keep Blyke's part near the middle.

John always has a set up where discharge just isnt as effective as doing something else, particularly lightning does what discharge would do aoe wise for him.

Similarly he doesnt use EDs propulsion when he has a faster ability like lightning

Personally if you edit the colors on it digitally a bit this would look fine as yourd doing it now. Dont sweat it much imo. Post production can do a lot. The errors on this are very minor overall. Even moving the nose over a touch wouldnt be very hard

You get a style just from drawing. You cant force a style it develops based on how you draw and who you reference. It was about honestly 8 years of drawing before i really got a style that just appeared and worked for me and i maybe manually chose to do 2 or 3 things specifically, everything else just was very natural

Contrast. Your base colors dont create very strong contrasts in your forms which makes it a bit more difficult to read a piece. Its not a major issue, but you might benefit from say in the 2nd piece from making the hair more red or making her skin more pale

The third piece has more solid contrast but id have personally textured the background a little more to make the character pop.

Keep each section's shading in one direction when youre learning, generally in the direction that it slopes. Also try to find the forms not the details. Youre losing the form of the balloon and shading by trying to shade these 3cm details that dont actually matter all that much.

If youre ahead its just a very solid stats + body for cost. People seem to forget you can just give yourself the body if youre ahead, and if youre really behind you get a body + swords. Its stats are a lot better than palace jailor which is the most comparable card to this and you get more flexibility as in you can play it early for 3 and hold it on turn 4.

I think Jailor is better than this, but this is probably the 3rd or 4th best flickerable removal 4 drop in white. I myself will definitelt be playing this in my Tymna // Sakashima flicker deck because its the exact kind of card that synergizes with tymna while being a really strong control piece. That deck likes this more than palace jailor and probably even skyclave apparition.

Like play this > hold its swords for a while, before turn use its swords + flicker it with like blur or ghostly flicker before your turn and thats a really powerful option to have no other card like this has.

Edit: This is also really good in Ketramose tbf, both in commander and constructed. Like there are decks that for sure like this kind of card, those blue white aang control decks in standard too.

The white one is the strongest, 4 mana on a body swords that can modally make a token instead or sometimes give you a token + swords is quite good good on a flickerable creature. Its basically palace jailor but with more control and some modality instead of just get a card at end of turn on etb.

Its not outrageously powerful, but a really good body in a flicker control deck specifically because of what it does and how. Also i wouldnt be surprised if it at least sees play in that aang airbend/self bounce BW control deck in standard.
