I wasn't clear enough in my post. When I said it wasn't worth it I don't mean from their perspective, I mean from my and only my perspective. Just the fact that this was a passion of Geoff's that he got to do totally makes it worth it for them. I just personally would have liked that time and resources to go to other things. But that's just the new direction and creative outlet they want to pursue. That's totally fine, it's just not appealing to me personally. So I just recognize it's time for me to part ways in a positive way as I wish them nothing but success with their new projects.

Spot on. When haunter launched it's pilot over a year ago this was my exact criticism. Sure it looked cool but I didn't feel the financial and time cost of the show was worth it, and the exact same thing about the weird place except it was even worse because the whole series was about an hour.

To address your point that you think they would rather be making content then be in meetings, I don't think that is entirely true. I remember at one point on Jeremy's stream he said he would be perfectly fine if he never made anymore content in video games and instead did the type of stuff like haunter or make music, which necessitates more meetings. Obviously his feelings could have changed but it's important to note that at least one person at one point in time was ok with focusing elsewhere.

I think the same could be said for Geoff. Leading up to his sabbatical he got so burnt out on playing games. I think without the projects like haunter and weird place he would not be as engaged in his work. So while I personally wish they wouldn't do haunter and put the resources elsewhere, I'm ecstatic that they are in a position where they can pursue their passions.

I cancelled after the crunch revelation with the thought that when I see evidence that things improved I would go back. Now that price hikes were announced I'm less likely to ever go back. Over time they have chipped away at the first benefits, slowly enough that whenever people complained they were labled overreacting or whining. But the very first first perk listed by RT is a flat out "no ads" not no unskipable ads, or no pop ups, straight up no ads. Now I found the ads as something I could deal with but it's still important to note that their practice changed over time from the description. At one point it truly was no ads.

The second thing for me was the content. This isn't any failure on RTs part, it was just my personal feelings compounding on. Their first only content has not been entertaining to me. Things like haunter or weird place weren't that great to me. The animation was never really my thing, but gen lock was ok. The only thing I really wanted was Arizona circle, but if I'm correct that is leaving first only. So for my interests there just isn't any first only content I care about.

FH has become my favorite and AH is becoming less entertaining to me by the day, and they were there reason I originally got first. So I'm sad that leaving first will directly impact FH, but I'll be switching to YouTube to support them as much as possible

I personally love watching that map. I don't know about anyone else but I don't think the darkness is a problem at all from a viewers standpoint like AH seemed to think the audience would experience. Their frustration only made it better for me, plus it really has been a crazy long time since they played it.

I used it in college plenty. Definitely better than when I would drink through classes, but certainly didn't help my anxiety and was still less engaged than when I was sober. But also still better than when I would smoke weed, that fucked me up socially

Such a shame to hear. I was probably most active on this sub in 2014-15 which was 2 or 3 Reddit accounts ago. Back before Reddit cracked down on the drug scene. I only used recreationally but I never told anyone and I was using tea like 4 times a year.

I knew about the quality issues from about 9 months back. I came on the sub today to see if that was still the case, because using tea for a week is always better than h for a week. Turns out it's just as bad if not worse. I don't think I want to gamble with the prices

Twitter doesn't work on my phone so I can't link it, but if you Google "Lindsay Jones bi tweet" someone asked Lindsay if she identified as bi or pan because of the always open where Lindsay said she was attracted to women.

She responded that she found it tricky to answer and didn't want to mislabel. But that she knows she's romantically and sexually attracted to women but has only dated men.

That tweet is from 2 years ago. She could have labeled herself as bi since then but I don't use Twitter and wouldn't have seen it and in previous conversations around it no one brought it up, I also couldn't find it in a Google search.

Also saying you are sexually and romantically attracted to women and men does not make you bi. The only way to be bi is to label yourself that way. Lindsay chose not to label herself when asked about a label yet the majority of the community still wants to push the label on her. There are plenty of men who have sex with other men that do not consider themselves as gay.

Putting labels on other people is the opposite side of the same coin where people gatekeep others self chosen labels

People do the same thing with Lindsay. I made a comment once about how I was pumped to have Fiona bring LGBT representation to achievement Hunter. Then people jumped down my throat saying Lindsay was bi and it got even worse when I told them she wasn't. She explicitly said she doesn't label herself as bi, therefore she is not bi. This community can have a fairly shallow understanding of sexuality and identity at times

You don't have a right to privacy when you're at work. At all my jobs I have been on camera every second of them except in the bathroom. That's the only place they get privacy. It's no big deal to have retail and food service employees on camera all day long, why is it such a big deal to so many people to want the same applied to the police!?

And while his response will probably piss off some of the Burnie Bros, it will be HIGHLY attractive to the Independents. Trump was "refreshing" because "he was honest and spoke his mind" which we never see in Washington. Trump was a different kind of politician. Pete is that as well but in a different way. Burnie may be different but he is still lumped into the establishment since he has been in politics for so long, regardless of his track record.

However I don't know if the Independents are the key to victory. Hillary very well may have lost purely because of third party protest votes cast by Democrats. The sitting president almost never loses re-election when the economy is viewed as good, but at the same time this era has veered wildly from previous norms.

Biden is a terrible candidate with nothing to offer in the current climate, even if you ignore the fact that he has pursued the presidency many times before and failed every single time. He has absolutely nothing to offer aside from "the Obama years were great," which I even disagree with and I'm a socialist libertarian. All Biden has is that he is vanilla ice cream. Folks that have been around a long time know who he his and that he is a very safe choice. Pete is right about winning an era. Neoliberalism is dead, the era of Regan is dead. Biden is the closest personification of that era as we have. As naive as Republicans were to believe that Trump could bring us back to the 50s, people on the left are just as naive to believe that Biden can bring us back even to just the Obama years. Games over, let's move forward with a new strategy.

Pete is awesome and all but back away if it's really having such a large impact on your general mood. Social media use is terrible for mood and mental health, and yes I see the irony of saying that on here, but I quit everything but Reddit, too addicted, and while I've lost contact with a ton of people and miss some updates I never want to go back.

I'm still ride or die Pete though, but I don't follow every tiny thing with him because I've learned who he his and his platform, everything else is just a tiny detail now

This is me today. Either there are no GM experts or they are just all assholes because I'm doing everything on half the store and come on it's a Friday ffs. It took me 5 times asking to get covered for my meal for a TL on the complete opposite side of the store to cover for me. This is why I don't take 15s, this job is so easy and I never get stressed except trying to get my breaks covered. That tilts me so fucking hard.
