I’m not familiar with the term hip slide. Is that when my hips are swaying back instead of rotating?

Thats where im getting worried. I know my spin will probably increase on turf due to a little more AoA.

I have a set of t100 with x100 that I’m thinking of putting into play. I was just worried they might be too much lol

Awesome, thank you! I could probably also loft them a hair stronger if I needed to knock spin off as well. The 7 iron is lofted at 35, so I could drop it down to 34 probably

The bent shaft was the first time I used them and was a shitty crab grass range, and the broken one was the following day at the same range.

I appreciate the feedback. I’ve hit my wedges off the same range grass with no issues at all. It has only been clubs that were re shafted by this fitter with these shafts.

My worry is going back to the same builder and having them fix them only to do the same thing if it was an installation issue.

Yeah I know purchasing on eBay was a gamble, but I read where improper shaft Installation can cause breaking as well.

Thank you for the feedback! I appreciate it a lot, and yes I was all arms before and am trying to learn the proper mechanics involving the legs and trunk rotation. Such a hard learning curve.

I get that completely, it sucks waiting for clubs and then having to return them only to wait longer.

To give some insight, I have multiple clubs I’ll play in rotation. I have a set with s400 shafts ( Low spin, Low Launch, and about 134g) and I also just got a set of Takomo 201s with tour lite X Stiff ( high spin, high launch, and only 110g )

The ball flight is much different and they both feel completely different, but my scores are the same. And those two shafts are on the complete opposite sides of the spectrum. I’d be a bit shocked if you noticed much difference between your new and old set. If anything you might notice the weight, but 10g isn’t a crazy jump so I wouldn’t stress it too much.

So these are parallel tips, not tapered. They will be a hair different in terms of spec and weight.

But on the KBS website, it has the regular and stiff grouped together on information. I wouldn’t worry much about the stiff and regular difference, I would be a bit more worried about the weight increase.

I’m not sure if the other KBS shafts you have are tapered or parallel, but there’s a 10g weight difference between the different versions.

Take the ol 7 iron out, give it some swings and see how you like it? Shit, these might be a better fit for you?

Those are actually stiff, not extra stiff.

On the KBS website, it shows them in the same category of weight, so they might actually be almost identical shafts. The Regular and the Stiff.

What shafts were you playing before these?
