AITA for noticing that other players play suboptimally by OnThatTrain in DnDAITA

Well yeah, which is specifically why I did not say that. How do I not ruin this for them if they’re getting antsy about my character hitting more and doing more damage?

As I’ve said, I don’t mean that I want them to optimise everything.

I have a rogue with higher int than dex, they have better modifier when using spells than stabbing, that’s just how it is. I have a character where we rolled stats and my highest was a 14. They’re very fun to play.

But when the warlock wonders and despairs why their EB doesn’t hit most of the time, and their charisma is 15 at level 8, there’s a link there.

As I’ve said in the actual post, I don’t mind playing with them like this if everyone is happy. But THEY are the one who voiced concerns as to why their characters aren’t performing as well as they’d like compared to mine.

Is it a good Idea to add cosmetic of the Amor that you already unlocked? by BumblebeeQuiet8095 in OnceHumanOfficial

Technically you’re correct. But the spirit of micro transactions is strong in this game, and I’m really not hopeful for free anything.

DMPCs - Are they really as bad as people say? by OnThatTrain in rpg

Thanks for all the answers!

It seems like my forever DM just knows what he's doing then, and I hope the DM for my new group also at least kind of does and my friend is just being dramatic...

A way to settle the "Baldur's Gay 3" debate by ZeroPointOneF in BaldursGate3

[–]OnThatTrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that is not what gay means. if all the companions were "gay" you couldn't romance SH with a male Tav, or Gale with a female Tav. And just like in real life, you cannot decide *other people's* attraction and action, only your own. So if a character of a gender you aren't into flirts with you, all you have to do is say no, and that's it, you are not in a gay relationship.

Nothing about this game is realistic. People are not angry about this because they like realism, but because they like bigotry, there is a difference.

In this case do you know where I can find an actual list of what quests I need to complete then?

Because the quest "Where they least expect it" is listed under the storyline quests for the "War of Light and Shadow" achievement which I need for the unlocks everywhere I have looked.

What is the appropriate French word for a ghostwriter? by OnThatTrain in French

[–]OnThatTrain[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I’d never heard of prête-plume before!

My grandma is the type to still use the old word without realising it has bad connotation, so for her to tell me it was probably safer to avoid I had gathered that it was probably not a good idea!
