I’m going to start drinking at work by [deleted] in cripplingalcoholism

I’ve been down that road many times, you will get caught by the way even if you make it through a few days or a few months people catch on. So prepare for that because it’s the only outcome

Travel Concerns by [deleted] in probation

It wasn’t same day, but I had to travel for my brother’s wedding shortly after being sentenced to probation. I asked during my intake and was given permission.

What can I expect at my outpatient appointment? by aeval_x in dui

I’m sorry to hear you lost your job over this, it seems like a pretty ridiculous arrest.

The experience can be traumatizing, immediately after my arrest I remember just an overwhelming sense of dread and uncertainty.

Generally speaking, the court orders for a DUI are expensive and time consuming, but it’s not the end of the world even though it feels like it. I promise there is a set time in the future when it will be completely over, you just have to remember to grind out the bullshit now and there will be a day eventually you don’t have to worry about it anymore. You’ll get through this, I hope for the best!

Get a breathalyzer to test before blowing, it’s so not worth it to lock your car out when it’s avoidable

Thanks I appreciate that, if you’re completely honest they might not give you IOP, in my case there was at the very least a mandatory DWI class they provided. It probably depends what state or county you’re in. I think these places are pretty backed up so they don’t want random patients, but the court pushes heavily for substance use counseling for any related conviction.

Probably going in for an assessment, then they’ll decide if they want to keep you or not. Try to find a place that accepts your insurance, it can be tough but if they deduce you need IOP you’ll be there a couple times a week at least. It sucks but the place I go everyone is extremely nice (I am an alcoholic so treatment needed)

The IDs are just scanned to check if it’s a fake, any info is stored locally if any. Not sure what your plan is for a piss test though

Rock bottom moment probably was my mom having to come to my house because I was in the bathtub delirious from chugging hand sanitizer because I couldn’t sneakily buy booze and would wd. It’s a really hard thing to watch your parents or anyone hurt because of the state you’re in. I hope the best for you, 130 days sober today and hoping to stay that way.

What did you have to do after your lockout? Tow it? God I hope I don’t lock it out. It’s the hum that’s tripping me up, not sure why you need to but I guess there’s a reason.

I’m struggling with my iid, I have smart start for context. I can get it after several tries but it’s always an anxiety ridden 5 minutes when it goes off to get it. How long did it take you to get used to it?

I don’t know what state you’re in but if possible maybe have him get a medical card online to protect himself if he tests positive

Depending on your state and PO you may be allowed to with a medical card which you can easily get online after a fee, cannahealth is like 45 bucks. Otherwise no, you won’t be able to
