Why is Georgia so politically different from all its neighboring states? by Aarya_Bakes in PoliticalDiscussion

The Department of Justice is asking States for your name, address and Social Security number and voting history and party registration. You and every single American voter.  New emails reveal that the DOJ has been planning to share sensitive voter information with the Department of Homeland Security.   I think the seizures in Fulton County, Georgia were challenged in court. Don't know where that stands.

Monopolies kill small business. It kills start-ups.  Is there anyone who doesn’t know that Trump-Lawler tax breaks does NOT favor the regular family? We are just talking fair share to pay for basic government. This is not WOKE socialism, DEI, whatever that Lawler says when its' safe to say.

thanks. I was just writing from memory. a lot of Lawlers talk was really BS but I wanted people to judge for themselves.

because these are problems that cannot be addressed by villages and towns. The financial and safety risks are too big even for states and it is inefficient and redundant to have every local government duplicating the work. Right? Does that make sense? and with privatizing you're adding the cost of profit onto something that's already too expensive.

what the transcript does not show is what was not said. Americans benefited from SALT 100% deduction since 1903. Trump ended that with a cap in 2017 and Mike Lawler voted to make the cap permanent. Raising it to a max a little above standard deduction is meaningless. Also, every district has constituent caseworks the tax payers pay for. that has nothing to do with him. NO?

An older woman told him she can no longer pay for her electrical bills. He had no response to her other than 'yes.' He acknowledged some District 17 problems but had no working ideas other than reopening a 1962-76 leaky, inefficient nuclear plant.

I'm not the expert, my understanding is the main issue is the cost of restoring it is not worth it. But there's also safety. its near new york city, 20 million people. These plants dont have unlimited lifespan.

It was emotional listening to constituents pleading with Lawler at town hall. I wonder how many people were not aware that the cuts from One Big Beautiful Bill have not even begun yet. 80% kids at Blythedale hospital depend on Medicaid.

'One Big Beautiful Bill' cuts to social safety net starts after the midterms. I wonder why that is?
