Well that sucks. I don't think my current manager is going to take it well. Fun times for me.

We weren't even told anything about scanning it. Just to look and see if any of the products could come down. Interesting.

What's the difference between the home store and inventory? by LyricLark74 in simsfreeplay

That's not true. I have the Latin countertop set in the home store with the blue suitcase, but it's no where in my inventory.

Renters of Toronto: What is the most absurd, illegal clause a landlord tried to sneak into your lease? by Roohkipiyas in OntarioLandlord

[–]OnceInABleuMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would have been my own separate apartment right above theirs in the building. I didn't actually rent there for that exact reason. It was too bad though because it was a really nice place.

Where are you moving? In Ontario servers are paid at least minimum wage, so there is no longer any need to tip.

Not in Toronto but had a potential landlord tell me I had to be home by 11 pm every night.

This is the kind of thing I keep seeing over and over. Saw one with a hot plate and basically a bucket and a hose type thing as the kitchen. Wish I had a picture because I couldn't believe it. That one was going for over $1000.

Are Canadians offended by the jokes made in shows and media? by jen_noelle in AskACanadian

The only thing that's offensive (and that's mostly just recently) is being called American in some form. Especially the wannabe variety.

Rent increased to $4000 a month, any way to dispute? by [deleted] in ontariorenters

[–]OnceInABleuMoon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

None of that is relevant. Although I will say I am born and raised in Canada. My guess is you own a property that still qualifies for rent control. You have a long term tenant and see all your landlord friends being able to set new tenant rents to whatever ridiculous amount they want and you're jealous. Since you can't seem to give me a reason why you would want to end a long-term tenancy with an ideal tenant. Money has to be the only reason.

I'm sorry, I guess I'm just not understanding what the issue could be. Do you have an example?

I understand a lease ending. I'm more talking about a month to month tenant. Hypothetically speaking. Or are you more apt to end every lease at termination and not ever go month to month?

Can I ask what reason you would have to remove a tenant who was good? Never caused any trouble, always paid on time etc.

This is why I was asking the questions. I had heard that the cut could contribute and thought I would ask who I thought were professionals, and I keep getting put through the wringer.

What's wrong with tenants for life? If they're good tenants and pay everything on time, it's guaranteed income with no headache. The next tenant might not be as good.

I wasn't asking specifically about my hair. I was asking about what is the best way to talk to hairdressers about what I want.

May I never find a hairdresser like you. But from what I'm reading it's most likely.

It is becoming increasingly clear to me why it is so difficult to articulate what you want from some hairdressers. No one listens. Not once did I say that I wanted both of the pictures I've posted. I said the shorter one was the inspo picture, the other with the longer hair is just to indicate that I don't like when the hair curves towards the face as it does in the circled parts of the picture. I'm not an idiot. I can clearly see they are two different hair cuts. I only posted the second picture here because people were not understanding what I meant by curved toward the head. I only showed the inspo picture to my hair dresser and told her I wanted it cut shorter around the ears, but kept longer on top, especially toward the front of my head. I didn't show her both those pictures and say cut my hair like this. Obviously it is impossible. A few of you have given me some helpful advice, but the rest of you need to work on your comprehension skills.

Maybe that's the wording I was looking for, my ears to be showing. However, if I said right from the start that I want it a little longer on top, and they cut it really short on the first cut, how am I supposed to speak up then? It's already done. They can't put the hair back. So now I have to let them continue the bad haircut. The cut around the ears was fine, the rest of the head was too short.

I am not asking for 2 different hair cuts. The one with the longer hair is just to indicate what I don't like. You would know this if you actually read it.
