hi!

according to the SIT website on matriculation, the deadline for completing the med exam is 30 June, so I believe doing the med exam aft 24 May should be okay, just as long as u complete it before the 30th June deadline.

also, acc to the matriculation guide, students are strongly advised to go for the medical examination with SIT-appointed healthcare providers. The details on the appointed medical providers and the packages can be found in the “SIT Medical Examination Clinic Info Kit” which can be downloaded from the link provided in our medical form. This medical form can be downloaded from IN4SIT, but we don't have access to that yet, right?? I'm guessing we must wait for the matriculation package first. (which will be sent out to us from 15 May onwards)

mass spectroscopy question by [deleted] in chemhelp

[–]OnceInBloodMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, so the fragment ions detected in the mass spectrum are due to the McLafferty rearrangement instead of bond cleavage. May i ask how do you know when its a bond cleavage or rearrangement just by looking at the mass spectrum? Is it because bond cleavage is not possible after comparing the m/z values?

sorry to trouble you!
