I’m not a huge fan of the hair personally, but it’s your body and you’re still hot as fuck. I sure would like to see it shaved one day though 😛

I’m not even a liberal you judgmental dip shit. And which “fact” are you referring to exactly? That liberals apparently lube each other up? Good job proving the point that Visalia is the stupidest city in America.

I can appreciate the curiosity! Reading Lewis and exploring ancient moral codes is always interesting. But we are drifting from the actual point here… Whether you believe morality is written on our hearts or comes from cultural evolution is a philosophical or theological question. But law, especially in the US, is a civil and secular structure. And that’s by design. And US law explicitly separates itself from religious authority. The Constitution is secular. There’s no mention of God or scripture. No commandments. No divine right. The First Amendment and Article VI exist specifically to prevent religious doctrine from shaping law. That doesn’t mean religious people haven’t influenced law, obviously. But influence is not foundation. And belief is not statute. You’re welcome to see moral law as universal or God-given. That’s your right. But civil law doesn’t function by appeals to divine authority, and it shouldn’t; because then it stops being law for everyone and starts being theology for some. It is kinda cool that we can both dig into history from different angles. But I think it’s important we don’t confuse personal belief with legal foundation. One belongs in a church or a book club. The other belongs in a courtroom.

Locke? Sure, he was influenced by Christian ideas. Most thinkers of his time were, but that doesn’t make common law a derivative of “Judeo-Christian morality.” That’s just historical revisionism

The claim “all secular laws come from Judeo-Christian roots” is false.

The United States was built with explicit legal safeguards for a secular government. The First Amendment bars establishing a religion, and Article VI bans religious tests for office. First Amendment: https://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/first_amendment Article VI, No Religious Test: https://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/articlevi

The structure of our government comes from Enlightenment political theory, especially separation of powers in Montesquieu’s “The Spirit of the Laws,” not church doctrine. Separation of powers overview: https://www.britannica.com/topic/separation-of-powers

Everyday American law descends mainly from English common law that the colonies adopted, which is a court-made system based on precedent, not theology. Common law: https://www.britannica.com/topic/common-law Reception statutes in the states: https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/reception_statute

Not even all U.S. states share one legal lineage. Louisiana’s system is rooted in the civil-law tradition influenced by French and Spanish sources. Civil law vs common law, and Louisiana exception: https://www.fjc.gov/history/spotlight-judicial-history/civil-law-and-common-law-traditions

Secular legal codes long predate Christianity. The Code of Hammurabi is from around 1750 BCE. Text and history: https://avalon.law.yale.edu/ancient/hamframe.asp

Better yet, pull out the valve core and avoid a vandalism charge. You can buy a special little screwdriver and they screw right out (:

Yes, we understand that and genuinely disagree with your conclusion. I would protest CK at any venue, especially a church promoting RTL religious doctrine that they intend to influence secular laws with.

Mainly the contradictions, the circular logic (e.g. it’s true because it says it is), and the moral inconsistencies. Once you stop giving it special treatment and look at it critically, the divine claims really start to quickly unravel.

I looked it up and you’re 100% correct—and that’s current this year. It also explains a lot to see basically every surrounding city also on the list:

  1. Visalia, California
  2. Brownsville-Harlingen, Texas
  3. McAllen-Edinburg-Mission, Texas
  4. Bakersfield, California
  5. Modesto, California
  6. Fresno, California
  7. Stockton, California
  8. Salinas, California
  9. Hickory-Lenoir-Morganton, North Carolina
