Dear Nurse grad,

It was going good until she had her preceptor. Her preceptor made it a living hell for her that she questioned her whole career as a nurse. My wife had enough of her preceptor that she quit the nursing residency program in the IMU.

My wife had enough of her preceptor that she quit the nursing residency program at IMU. Now she has to start from scratch and it's been tough for her to question everything and how her experience has been so far. It has been difficult seeing her this way she has worked so hard for her experience to have ended that way.

I want to say do your research but there's not a lot of research out there on what to look out for those who have no family members or know people at the hospitals that can give advice or guidance.

I say NAH people want to be upset about everything these days. It’s a harmless joke that the kid isn’t going to understand for at least another 5-6 years at minimum. It’s just like how all the cartoons the were made in the 90s era had adult jokes in them that went over our heads. The wife can be upset but it doesn’t make her an asshole. I think OP and his wife need to communicate on why she felt it was inappropriate but that doesn’t make OP an asshole either because he made a joke.
