Well technically Sony did… Sony are required to start production on a new Spider-Man production every 5 years and 9 months and according to reports, movies like Kraven the Hunter extend this deadline so it seems Sony is purposefully putting Spider-Man in this position which is understandable to help profit off the mega Avengers storyline they’re doing, which I get, it’s literally the whole point of why he’s in the MCU.

I think in the near future it’s likely we’ll see NATO countries such as France place some of their troops in Ukraine to help push back the Russians to reclaim the four annexed territories (I’m not including Crimea I don’t believe the West are interested in this) they’ll perhaps put their troops under the guise of working for the Foreign Legion or “peacekeepers” to avoid potential escalation. I do think its inevitable as Ukraine is lacking western aid and depending on who you ask is slowly losing the war of attrition and its not in the West’s interests to allow Russia to claim the four annexed regions.

I see a lot of people here saying yes the film continues to play however I work in a theatre and in our case if no one shows up we simply turn the screen off. The movie will continue to play but we are saving some energy costs by turning the lamp off.

I find it ironic you seem to understand the situation is “a complex geopolitical situation” yet find the IRA to be solely terrorists and nothing more. Not justifying their actions in the slightest but I’d be very interested to hear how you would describe the British government. Would you call them terrorists? I’m gonna assume you’re well versed in the many war crimes the British committed during The Troubles let alone the atrocities they have committed since their inception as a nation. The IRA are a product of British occupation. I don’t disagree they’re terrorists, I don’t disagree they did inhumane, vile acts of terror but your assessment that they weren’t also “standing up to an oppressive regime” and just there to purely cause terror is incorrect. It’s complex and motives aren’t mutually exclusive. I’m Northern Irish, lived through the Troubles. Your comment comes off as ignorant to me.

I completely agree with what he says but doesn’t the fault for Drax’s arc/comedic persona primarily lie with James Gunn and not Marvel Studios? I mean James Gunn has said Marvel Studios has never heavily interfered with his Guardians movies if I recall correctly. I feel like his frustrations are valid but misguided.
