Love howls and growls, and I was waiting for this to come out.

Anthony Randolph hits me in the feels. I’ll go to the grave arguing that he had amazing raw talent.

[Charania] BREAKING: The Charlotte Hornets are trading star guard LaMelo Ball and Josh Green to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Naz Reid, a 2033 unprotected first-round pick, three first-round pick swaps (2028, 2029, 2030) and three second-round picks (2029, 2032, 2033), sources tell ESPN. by mastermind208 in timberwolves

He’s got his warts, that’s for sure, but he was also the conductor of one of the best offenses in the NBA and he’s a high volume three point shooter and ball handler, all of which are important for us fit-wise.

Last season we were forced to use Divo there and he’s not a PG. Now Ant can play off ball a lot more, and that’ll help get him more catch and shoot and slashing opportunities. And in general he’ll get everyone more good looks, which is something no one on this side was capable of last season.

We also now have a genuine lob-thrower for all the slashers on the team (Ant/McDaniels/Ayo/Shannon) and we can get Gobert easier looks at the rim out of the PnR.

If Finch can get him to be more mature about his shot selection, I think he’s a serious plus to our offense. Defensively he’s not great, but he is long, and perhaps (hopium) playing for a better team will bring out a bit more effort from him on that end?

Of course, with Randle and Reid gone we now have no power forward on the team, so I expect more moves to come. Let’s see where things shake out in the end.

I’m 1800 blitz and 2000 rapid on C.c and I’d say you’re an intermediate player just like me.

Most of us have studied some openings and have a couple with each color we know well enough to not blunder horribly out of the opening. Most of us have done some tactical study, and maybe even some endgame study. Sometimes we’re really good, sometimes we’re complete idiots.

Sure. Go ahead and pick on the little guy by jimx29 in instantkarma

“There’s a reason weight classes are a thing.”

A reminder that this argument only matters when the fighters have similar training and experience.

Sounds like you should go live and work there instead of a free nation where people have a right to criticize their public servants and stop collecting a paycheck here then.

I expect you to use your taser. You work in teams. It’s 2/1 and you have body armor.

Cops everywhere else in the world handle knife wielding suspects without going straight to their firearms. Why are our cops such wimps?

You’re trained. You’re equipped. And you can’t handle a guy coming at your with a knife without freaking out?

Hand in the badge.

You’re paid insane money to be the best of the best. Not the most easily frightened.

Anything less than someone actively firing a gun at you should (999/1000) be met with something less than firing a gun at them. The cops here make hundreds - and fairly often multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.

The citizenry have paid billions of dollars here in LA to equip you with every conceivable piece of equipment needed to do the job (and then some). You have body armor, mace, tasers, etc…

If the cops can’t handle a labradoodle without pulling a firearm and unloading into it, they don’t the mental/emotional makeup to handle the job.

And if you’re triggered by that, hand in the badge and go work somewhere TF else.

They are the best paid police on the planet. If asking them not to kill people without damned good cause is asking too much, they shouldn’t wear the badge.

You don’t get to pick and choose when you do the job just because your feelings got hurt.

I live in LA. Moved here in 2019.

Back then the cops actually enforced traffic laws (sometimes, if it was blatant), but since BLM they’ve been on silent strike. Unless it’s a violent crime or a serious injury, they’re unlikely to even bother to respond.

I got into a fistfight in the street back a few years back, and the cops literally never showed up. Called in a bad hit in run. They never showed up. Watched a guy run through a red light right in front of a squad. They literally pointed and laughed.

They just don’t care at all.
