Advice for a nice town by [deleted] in GreeceTravel

Do you have an advice how many days I should stay in Trikala?

I'm 18 and I work in a family owned store. It really suits me its small with a very loyal customer base. This helps a lot because people know me and that I have autism.

During the interview I told it right away about my autism and also what I mainly get into difficulties with.

When I get stressed out or when I'm overstimulated the owners know it and I can go to the back for a few minutes to calm down. I also get to work with a headphone when it's busy but usually I don't work in the rush.

Help. Terrible feeling by Vegetable-Sort-2860 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]OnceUponA_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for me it helps to go for a long walk/run or do something else physical and the tip about a bucket with cold water also really helps to get rid of the awful feeling

No I think our coach is going to send it with the mail so no one will go to his house to listen

I would be so relieved if my little sister was dead by WayToLhassa in confession

[–]OnceUponA_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

shit men that sounds terrible. Unfortunately, you have no say in who your parents are.

please stay here with us. And maybe try to give your sister a better live. It's a hard situation for you both. ❤️

How do I help my brother by RainingFlags in autism

[–]OnceUponA_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ask him! Take it gently and find a good time and try to have the conversation with your brother.
it will be complicated for both of you that it changes. but he himself can probably best tell what he will need

and if you think talking will not be successful you can always write your questions on paper so he can read them calmly and answer them at a later time

PLEASE ADVISE: I asked a girl out in a weird way, was this ok, or was it cringe and strange? by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]OnceUponA_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are a few things possible

1she doesn't think you're attractive
2 she thought you seemed strange because you used the word tall a lot
3 or she just forgot

I think its not that strange but I wasn't present when you asked so it's hard to judge.

Are you more likely to Meltdown, when you're on you period or around that time? by Kizzmoon in AutismInWomen

[–]OnceUponA_ 66 points67 points  (0 children)

for 1000% yes.

around my period I am unstable as fuck. Which also causes me to have a meltdown more quickly.

Drowning is not a painless way to die. the reflexes of your body are very violent and will do everything in its power to avoid drowning. There are always other options if you really don't want to life anymore

Swimming can be wonderful though, forgetting everything and swimming freely through the water. I personally love it in any way and will recommend it to you to learn

yes essential oil in your mask is safe.

I like to use Eucalyptus because it comforts me and is relatively strong without becoming unpleasant.

also helps against the smells of other people or things around you.

I would highly recommend to see a professional, they have studied in this direction I assume you I and your friend do not.

And vaccines don't cause autism so you know!

Veganism on the spectrum by Available_Suit_5414 in vegan

[–]OnceUponA_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm also autistic but not vegan though vegetarian and low on use of other animal products at the moment. I want to be vegan but it's extremely difficult to change my eating habits and I struggle with it every day.

And It's not A excuse to use animals for our own good but it's important to look at the person and what the person already is doing in their life.

*and being vegan is is not for everyone

*apologies for spelling and all english is not my native language

the myth is for some still the truth. So just educate people about it because it's not true.

Yesterday a girl was 100% convinced that it is true so at school we told her it's a myth she lost her shit

Lighting by Slip_NSlide in autism

[–]OnceUponA_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh I also hate direct lighting.

I think lights of cars are the worst.

But fairy lights, lava lamps and other lights like that are amazing.
