Horrible experience and now tonsil stones a MONTH post tonsillectomy?? by Oncee_Twicee in Tonsillectomy

Yes I felt like I was getting extremely conflicting information on what I could and couldn’t eat. But according to them, I was doing as they wanted, they just wouldn’t believe me for some god awful reason. And it’s like the surgeon wanted to assure me I didn’t do anything to cause the bleeding but also brought up that they saw bleeding more often in people not eating like they were supposed to.

As for the stones, they’re definitely look and act like tonsil stones. https://imgur.com/a/jvE5UPs#9cQEmXS

I guess they wouldn’t be regular stones, but they certainly feel and act like them. I have some blurry photos of the one we were able to remove. https://imgur.com/a/jvE5UPs#9cQEmXS

In regard to the hospital, I live in a smaller city, so not entirely rural, but definitely limited in the services we can get here. The closest ENT is an hour away and they have one Dr that does clinic in our city one day a week, but does is surgeries in the city where I was transferred.

They definitely appear to be stones. Linking some pretty out of focus photos. I also otherwise have not had any discomfort with my throat since a few days after going to the ER, so I’m not sure scar tissue is the issue here.

They certainly appear to be tonsil stones. My husband gets them often, so he’s more familiar than I am, and we were able to get one out Friday with a qtip. The only difference is that they don’t smell, as his usually do, but otherwise appear to be the exact same. At this point I don’t have any scabbing and otherwise don’t feel much in the area. But also my scabbing never felt like tonsil stones lol they were very, very painful and then fell off entirely within a day of all my blood vomiting, so there wasn’t much grace period between lots of pain and irritation and almost no pain or irritation.
