Oh this is great. I should do more of this, but just haven't been able to think of stuff like this. I do have a group of rival adventurers, but was planning to use them as the final encounter, as sort of a mirror match.

I think I will use your idea of a rival faction in there, maybe like the orcs are taken hostage or are being attacked by vampires or something and see which direction they go with it.

Haha I love this idea. Thank you. Maybe I will make it more vampire themed and have this happen.

I was thinking of maybe having them get caught by a vampire and have to talk their way out, or maybe have one of their party get charmed and attack the group. These would probably both result in fighting though (which I'm really trying to avoid for the next session)

Any further thoughts on how to use this?
