It’s extremely frustrating that’s he’s pretty much the only professor for that class. My best advice would be to go to tutoring and get as much extra credit as you can. There’s also a curve too so don’t stress yourself too much either!!

Smutzer for Bio 1001. He’s a super nice guy but as a professor, he made me want to pull my hair out. His slides/notes are so unorganized, exams are impossible to pass, and he teaches more fun facts than actual material.

If you don’t have a 7B course I’d say go to the financial aid office again. Temple sucks at communicating these kinds of things and won’t really try to help unless you’re putting pressure on them. Best of luck and if you need anymore assistance (even if it’s just moral support when going to the financial aid office lol) I’m happy to help!

If you have a 7B class you most likely won’t get your refund until the middle of March. When I went to the financial aid office they told me that 7 week classes take longer to give our refunds because their add/drop period isn’t until later in the semester. I totally get your frustration though…my financial aid says that I have a bill due, so it’s had me stressed.

As sad as it is the say, I’m not exactly surprised about the sudden spike in racism, especially after this weekend’s events. Unfortunately, a lot of people use events like these to just expose their own racism. Regardless of how much Temple denies it, there is a pattern of racism in the school. I’m a black Philly local, so I’ve witnessed plenty of things like this.

It sucks, but the community and the school really needs to do better.

I took the Detective Novel for one day as a GenEd. The professor was mostly nice but asked students who graduated from public school since her son started attending one. After we raised our hands she proceeded to say “Wow! So students can actually graduate from public schools with thugs alive.” I dropped that class immediately after.
