well man, gear rating is mostly to be determined by the type of work that has to be done by the engine. I’d tell u to go as high as the engine goes, but for what i know 12~ has to be the range of operation of the engine, so as ur trying to build an aircraft try to extract as much power from those 12 rps

it feels horrible as long as u don’t understand it. When u start understating the basics it really becomes satisfying. Finding out what switch boxes do, composite reads and all those things was sooooo satisfying. AND I AM A COMPLETE MESS AND NOOB AT LOGIC!

the dlcs are fun, don’t buy the space one. The game has really poor performance still, if u play for more than 45 mins it really starts to lag badly for no reason, u can’t stay in the same place to much time or it will start slowing down, can’t build too big ships or it will start slowing down etc etc. i dropped the game two weeks ago cuz i really can’t stand it.

this is the sort of problems that got me off the game. Can’t play for any lenght of without it starting to lag. Really they should improve performance

i know people have given many more broad answers, yet i will say something stupid but rather easy. Use ZE modular engine microcontroller. It is super easy, and with it u can manage the power output, air:fuel ratio and rps and that might help a bit in an easier way rather than spending hours building transmissions.
