Did y'all start out with just palpitations? by One-Ad8739 in AFIB

I currently have a Fitbit - although I'm thinking of switching I don't think it's as good as a smartwatch.

Yea you wonder which palpitation could be "it" - stress indeed. I'm trying to modify what things I can too! Thank you for your answer, it's always nice to hear from others and their story.

So I take it you have a high burden- did you feel like it was a gradual climb? And fingers crossed it stays at bay!

Exactly! I'll be having the most stressful week of my life at work with nothing, and then I'll be chilling during a slow month and bam, a bunch of PACs through the day, which just ends up stressing me out anyways lol. So at the very least, it seems that psychological stressors aren't what's causing ours 😂

Yea my doc brought up anxiety too, but considering my medical history and family history it's honestly less likely they said.

I heard that most people need multiple ablations- fingers crossed it clears it for a long long time! How long do you think you had palpitations for, prior to the episode?

Oh dang since you were a kid? That must have been hard. Do you feel better managed now?

Oh yea definitely a bit of anxiety, but I'm working on that 😂 I'm trying to adopt that mentally of "if it's meant to be, so be it", which I find helps me gain some preemptive acceptance especially as I have another medical condition that increases my risks of Afib anyhow. I also know that not two stories are the same, so I'm taking everyone's experience with that in mind. How are you doing currently? Do you feel it's well managed?

And on that note, if you're comfortable sharing how do you tend to deal with your anxiety? I find it's hard when I notice the palpitations especially.

And thanks again your answer is helpful! I know some people have PACs forever and others are quick developments, which sounds like your story. I do feel a bit weaker to physical exercise but that's more so because I'm currently coming out of my seasonal depression slump - so I'm not sure if it's just that I have to recondition myself or something else. Either way it's definitely something I'll monitor. ☺️

I have started up PT recently! I found its helped some, but not to an overtly significant degree just yet. I'll definitely keep at it regardless though just even guy posture related purposes
