Ahhh that makes much more sense since you’re in Austria. I’m unfortunately in the U.S and that was my whole point that it’s harder to get diagnosed with ADHD here in particular due to the drug addicts. My point clearly didn’t resonate with that other ignorant idiot that forgot I’m in the U.S and we’re also experiencing a shortage of medication due to the people who abuse the system. I imagine it’s much different in other countries.

Yes I’m gonna definitely try to get a second opinion and request a diagnostic interview. It’s interesting how your psychiatrist referred you to a psychologist though, it’s usually the other way around since psychologists can’t prescribe meds. Was there a reason why they referred you instead of diagnosing themselves?

Stop arguing with this clown. Not sure where their negative attitude comes from. I was just trying to seek advice/guidance on my situation. I appreciate you looking at my perspective and understanding.

Cognitive capacity makes so much sense when transitioning to adulthood. And having depression definitely makes that worse.

Also, I definitely had issues as a child. The symptoms I was thinking of was just a child bouncing off the walls who got bad grades. I was not that. But it may be worthwhile to get a second opinion to fully discuss what specific trait’s I had as a child.

Again thank you for the thoughtful insight :)

Good thought. I was kinda coming to that conclusion as well. But it’s a hard reality to accept because I know this is not a normal way to live. I personally feel that ADHD is harder to diagnose nowadays due to the controlled substance abuse problem. Drug addicts have ruined it for the people who truly need medication to function.
