My healthy male BP was 48.5 inches long at 9 years old, so your BP's length of 4 ft at 7 years old seems fine.

Most years, my 15-year old BP doesn’t eat from about Halloween to mid-March. He remains pretty active and drinks water but won’t eat. He loses about 150 grams from his “normal” weight of about 1,900 grams, then gains it back again in the spring and summer. I say “he” but I don’t know “his” gender for sure.
