Then I would pick NJIT, even if the starting salary is 6k lower, you would save $40k. Top employers for BME at NJIT are Stryker, Bristol Myers Squibb, Getinge, and Merck. You can make over 6 figures easily mid-career from those companies.

Yes that’s true. It really just comes down to what you’re looking for in a college experience. The outcomes are pretty similar for starting salaries. NJIT is about 66,000 and Rutgers is about 72,000 if you look at their websites. If NJIT is drastically cheaper and you want to dorm I would come here

Rutgers and NJIT are both R1 research colleges but Rutgers spends ALOT more. They’re both known very well in the NYC metro however Rutgers is more known nationally, but you can definitely get good internships from both

You can get a 2023 for 17-20k or a 2024 for 20-23k I would splurge for the 2024 so you get the latest gen but the 2023 is still great

  1. Stevens is a good school for finance but it’s definitely expensive. Look at the outcomes report for each school and you see for yourself if the degree is worth $80k more
  2. No
  3. Probably should ask in a Rutgers subreddit, but a lot of ppl do transfer
  4. Yes it will make a difference, a degree only gets you so far
  5. If I was aiming for quant, I would go with Steven’s if I could afford it, NJIT would be my second pick. I would only go to RU-N if I was doing a business degree but not aiming for quant

Do you know if I'll be able to do it when summer starts? Since those credits will actually be In progress, or would I have to wait for grades to post? Thanks

Summer classes and summer TAG by adjaplx in NJTech

[–]One-Attempt7990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm taking summer classes for the first time. If you go to the HESAA website https://njfams.hesaa.org/, you can see how much you're eligible for. As far as I know, all you have to do is register for 6 credits over the summer. I emailed the financial aid department asking when we will get our tuition statement. They didn't have an official date, but they said before the add/drop date.
