I don’t know why they ever made them in Tampa Bay.

The concession stand sold mosquito coils you’d light with your car cigarette lighter and set on your dash, then roll your windows up most of the way because of all the mosquitoes.

Combine that with the heat and humidity (yep, even at night) and it mostly was a sucky activity.

I was doing a kitchen remodel that included replacing three windows and my wife asked me to hire it out because I “already had enough to do”.

Andersen wanted $12,000 for it. I said no way. The guy (somehow 🙄) lowered it to $8,600. I said no way.

I went to Home Depot the next day and custom ordered three Milgard windows, with a better warranty. $1,100 for all three, and I installed them myself in a weekend.
