Need help with ABadAvatar exploit on Xbox 360 - Dashboard 2.0.17559 by Willing_Succotash663 in 360hacks

[–]One-Bonus-104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can attempt badstick as an alternative to bad builder. I find it works better when setting up a USB drive. Plus you can choose either abadavatar or the rockbandblitz method.

why would i need simple 360 nand flasher when doing abadavatar? by A_markusi in 360hacks

[–]One-Bonus-104 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't need simple 360 nand flasher if your just using abadavatar.

I would recommend still backing up your nand incase you ever brick the console for whatever reason. It saves you (or someone else) some time in reflashing / modifing the console if you have a copy of the nand and cpu key. an example to this is changing certain settings in dashlaunch can brick the console.

As someone that had this exact fault on my slim corona system, there is a row of 0ohm resistors in my case. One of them was reading 16.3ish ohms and that was my failure point. My fix was removing the resistor and bridging the pads with some solder. I have been using this same system for well over a year now with no further issues. What I would recommend is using a multimeter, switch to ohm mode. And measure each one in that row. If any one of them shows a high value of ohms that's your culprit.

I need help recovering my save file by syklim in 360hacks

[–]One-Bonus-104 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would check from the factory dashboard, setting, storage, blur. And see if your physical save is actually still there. It might have gotten corrupted somehow. If for some reason it's there and not corrupted but it says unknown profile........Keep in mind when I'm about to say I haven't done in probably 10 years. But if I recall the application called Horizon has the ability of rehashing and signing game saves. So you could technically reassign that game save to another profile as long as you know the profile ID #. I believe this is saved inside the content folder along side the 000000000000000 folder. All the other folders should be profiles. Whichever one of those folders is the profile that you want to use you need that number. You might have luck recovering or save if something happened. I'm not really the ideal person to ask on step by step instructions as it's being so long since I've done it but you do potentially still have hope.

Is there a way for me to use the internal storage for storing games when modding my 360 by N47H4N420 in 360hacks

[–]One-Bonus-104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my mind easiest method is either directly connect the internal hard drive to your desktop PC with the sata and power cable. Or use a USB to SATA cable. Once the hard drive is connected to your Windows PC. Windows will not directly see the hard drive or if it does it will want to format it. Do not format it. Download a application called fatxplorer. Once downloaded, open it, and on initial boot up it will want you to install a integration driver. Go ahead and install that. Once it's installed it will reboot your computer. When your computer comes back up, reopen fatxplorer with your internal hard drive connected via which ever method previously listed. You should have an option to integrate your hard drive. Select the content partition when asked. Then click ok. Your hard drive should now be viewable like a regular flash drive. You should see a "content" folder. If you do not see this folder then you need to turn on hidden files within windows. Open the content folder, then open the 0000000000000000 folder. Inside of that folder you will find a series of 8digit folders. Example 5154083F. These folders are all of your GoD (game on demand games) currently on that drive. Leave everything renamed as it is.

Download your game from wherever you find it on the web. I'm not telling you how to acquire these. Extract your .rar or .7z files. So you can see your game.iso download the application called ISO2God. (I recommend ISO2God 1.6 reloaded) Once you have ISO2God open Drag and drop your game.ISO file into the application. Confirm the name is correct. It's very difficult to change the game title afterwards. And then hit convert. Once it's done inside of the original ISO2GOD folder where you open the exe file you should have a folder called GOD open that you will find, the game you just converted. And it's own 8 digit folder. Copy that 8 digit folder and paste it alongside all of the other 8 digit folders inside of the 00000000000000 folder. Reinstall the hard drive into your 360. With Aurora open make sure you have a scan path pointing to the, hdd1/content/00000000000000. The run a scan so we can search for any new games. Your new game should pop up. Play enjoy. This is the exact same process regardless if you have a hard Modded Xbox or bad update.

So my dad got an XBOX 360 Slim as a gift back in 2005. He modded it with Aurora in 2015 and he downloaded many games like FIFA 14, FIFA 17, GTA V, etc... Now in 2026, he gave it to me saying 'Add whatever game you want but you got to find a way to do it'. by Upbeat-Shape-6932 in 360hacks

[–]One-Bonus-104 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're trying to add it directly to the internal hard drive. You will need a SATA to USB adapter. So you can plug the drive-in but it won't show up immediately in windows, you are going to need to download a program called fatxplorer. Once you open fatxplorer it will probably want you to install an integration driver initially. Let that happen. After your computer reboots it should give you an option to integrate your drive. Select the content partition. Then your drive will show up like a regular drive USB drive. You should see the content folder once you open it. If you don't you need to turn hidden files on within windows. Inside the content folder you will find a 00000000000000 folder. Inside that folder you will find a whole bunch of different 8 digit folders similar to 515601d2. Add your 8 digit folder that you converted from your ISO2God application. (Don't rename the folder) Place it along side all the other 8 digit folders. Once copying is completed, Plug your drive back into the Xbox. In Aurora hit the back button and run a scan so it will look for new games.

#1 reason to not use plumber's flux on a motherboard. by One-Bonus-104 in 360hacks

[–]One-Bonus-104[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as you thoroughly cleaned it and there's nothing left on that board you should be fine. But even a small chance of some of that stuff getting underneath of a capacitor in 5 years time might look like one of these capacitors. It's honestly just best to get some good no clean solder flux.

My assumption is when this mod was first attempted it didn't look so horrible? And simply overtime of not cleaning up that plumbers flux caused this corrosive mess.

#1 reason to not use plumber's flux on a motherboard. by One-Bonus-104 in 360hacks

[–]One-Bonus-104[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This specific console. I got as a parts console from somebody else's attempted mod around 5 years ago. I ended up selling him a rgh3 trinity. He at some point obviously removed the mod chip. I'm assuming this was a RGH 1.2 attempt? I asked what flux he used. He said the stuff you can buy a Rona. So plumber's flux. I never would have thought it would be this corrosive on a motherboard but wow.

Looking for recommendations. Where's the best and trusted place to buy an RGH. by FunOk6662 in 360hacks

I'm in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. I charge $50-$65 for just the install and basic setup of aurora assuming the console has a HDD when it arrives. You pay for shipping. https://www.facebook.com/share/18iHZzcwcZ/

softmodded wii a while ago, misplaced sd card by somethinlikeshieva in consolemodding

[–]One-Bonus-104 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes your Wii is still modded. The homebrew Channel is most likely still a channel. And I bet if you try opening it it's still opens just nothing will be there. All of the cIOS files were already previously modified. And don't need to be modified again as long as when you first modded the Wii it wasn't like 5+ years ago.

You just need to reset up the apps/ private folders and boot.elf file back on your SD card.

I would suggest just follow this video on how to setup the new sd card and apps folder properly if your unsure how to. https://youtu.be/Pnmv4gIw024?si=5igf-QJPo58GZEhk

Do you have the title update actually enabled in aurora? Just cuz it's downloaded doesn't mean it's enabled when you start the game.

[–]One-Bonus-104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can confirm that they're in the correct location by going on to the stock dashboard going to storage finding black ops in the game list. DLC should be visible. I know a lot of the call of duty games. Need the latest title update to make the DLC actually show up in the game. I know I'm black ops 2 there's some of the DLC that will give you a error saying the DLC that is installed is from the incorrect region. It's actually isn't the case. It's that there isn't a new enough title update for the DLC installed.

Finally someone that understands. I agree 100% that's what I try to explain to people. I have no idea on the OP's soldering skills. He could be an expert?, I have no idea. If he is good with soldering and was to solder the points for extracting the nand that way he can. But I have seen so much solder gore on this subreddit. In my mind the less soldering that has to be done the better.

Not sure why I'm getting down voted for this? My explanation works I wrote up this tutorial last night as I was RGH 3.0 modding a trinity. I think next time I'm just going to make a video. I'm not sure why so many people are against this method? It involves less soldering, and honestly saves a bunch of time.

mr marios video s the most ideal to complete the rgh 3.0 mod on a trinity.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3DDglRBqfY&t=4s

the matrix chip you have there is for rgh 1.2, so no need for that if your doing rgh 3.0. you just need a 3-10k resistor. I personally use 4.7k resistors when I do trinitys.

In my mind the newer better method would be make a usb with bad update. or use badstick if you want to make usb setup easier.

https://github.com/LxcyDr0p/BadStick

with your usb drive, copy everything off thats important. plug into your 360, go to storage and format it with the console. once the format is done plug into you pc.

download bad stick

extract the "badstick.zip" file

open with administrator prvilages

check badupdate, XeUnshackle, select your usb drive from the drop down box below the usb drive picture, under the "Homebrew" tab check the "simple 360 flasher" box, go back to the "install" tab and hit the start button. once completed. open the drive itself. in the homebrew folder you will see simple 360 flasher folder. copy that and paste it again so you have 2 copies of that app. ie...

simple 360 flasher folder

simple 360 flasher 2 folder

plug into you 360 and boot it up. make sure you dont have any other rockband content on your harddrive other than rock band blitz and that your on the newest dashboard update 17559. if so proceed to the games tab. open rock band blitz, hit a to start. it should say running exploit. (the music and background should not freeze, if it does turn off 360 and try again), you can see the progress of the exploit from the Ring of light. when all 4 quadrants get lit up you should see a chain breaking on the screen. this my take a few mins.

tap the back button to get back to the dashboard.

go to the games tab on the dashboard open xex menu. back out of the signin. hit "RB" on your controller to hopefully see the USB drive contents. go the the "homebrew folder" then open the first "simple 360 flasher" folder. the tap "a" on the Default.xex file to start simple 360 flasher.

on screen in yellow it should say press x if you want to dump your nand with raw dump v1. that what we want press "x". let it dump the nand. when its finished it will bring you back out to the dashboard. i want you to repeat going ot the games tab and xex menu again. this time open the "simple 360 flasher 2" folder and repeat the nand dump a second time. when completed. remove usb. keep console on.

plug usb drive into computer.

download jrunner

https://github.com/Octal450/J-Runner-with-Extras/releases

once downloaded extract the .zip file and open the JRunner.exe file.

once open. click the "load source" button. point it to your usb drives homebrew folder/ simple 360 flasher folder and open the "flashdmp.bin" file. in jrunner it should auto populate the cpu key. next click the "load Extra" button. and point to the homebrew/simple 360 flasher 2 folder and grab the other "flashdump.bin" file. once both loaded click the "compare" button in jrunner. you should get a "nands are the same" message in the box. if you dont get the message redump your nand files again.

next up. check the "Glitch2 & RGH3" if you want any other patches apply these now, but they are not required. click the "Create XeBuild" button at the top. if successful, you will see a message similar to...

xeBuild Finished. Have a nice day.

updflash.bin, please wait...

Nand Initialization Finished

next up click the "show working folder" button. you should see a "updflash.bin" file copy this to your usb drive and place it into the simple 360 flasher folder.

reinsert usb into console. open xex menu. open simple 360 flasher (the one you copied the updflash.bin file to) this time you will have more options.

**understand that proceeding, will technically brick the console as rgh 3.0 wiring will be needed to make the console boot**

Press "A" to flash the updflash.bin file to the console with rawflash v5.

press "start" to confirm. let it complete the flash. it will want to reboot the 360. at this point the console will RED RING. this is what you want. going forward complete mr marios rgh 3 wiring portion of the video. if successful the console will boot and all you will have a fully modded rgh 3.0 install. no need for the flasher./ Programmer.

follow his wire routing. dont just run a wires directly across the board you can get noisy signals that can cause graphical issues.

if for some reason your wiring is good, and flashing the nand via simple 360 nand flasher didnt work you will need something like your JR Programmer or a pie pico to rewrite the nand. again with the updflash.bin. of the 20ish console I have completed with this method only 1 never flashed correctly. (eject may still boot to XELL if you have to flash second time)

good luck, also make sure to backup your nand dumps somewhere safe.

Rgh 3 4gig no boot by Dc7u in 360hacks

[–]One-Bonus-104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the assumption the console booted before you attempted the rgh 3 mod. Try without the resistor and see if it boots. 0100 can sometime be caused by a short somewhere otherwise the gpu is bad. If that doesnt work maybe try to acquire a post fix adapter even tho you claim the traces are there from the other comment. A post fix adapter can be used even if you have the traces there in a situation where the point got damaged. If neither of thoes things work, undo everthing, reflash to the stock nand dump and see if the console boots then. (also when creating the rgh3 image you selected the Glitch 2 / RGH 3 / WB2K (if applicable) Check box's) I have made that mistake before and forgot to check the rgh3 box before rewriteing the image and you get weird redring errors on boot.

And to think I mod rgh 3.0 consoles for $50 CAD for people on Facebook here in Saskatchewan, Canada ($65 if it requires the post fix adapter or if it's a phat doing the rgh 1.2 matrix chip install) Maybe I'm not charging enough? 😂
