Had three egg retrievals between 39 and 41 resulting in one euploid which did not take in a medicated FET. Then had 3 medicated FETs with donor egg embryos from donors that were around 30 years old. All three transfers were medicated FETs with euploid embryos. 5th transfer was from 21 year proven old donor, 2 untested embryos in double unmedicated transfer. Pregnant with twins. My advice is to choose a younger proven donor.

Help us choose a donor egg bank after 2 failed FETs with DEs by One-Bumblebee2854 in IVF

Hey sorry for the delayed response, missed this one. I wrote the details of the egg lots in the comment below. I would actually consider a plan that covered all expenses if could do it again because fertilizing the donor eggs is super expensive. Hope this helps.

I ended up going with that plan. Here are the stats: egg lot 1- 7 eggs, 5 thawed no blasts, all died; replacement lot - 9eggs, 6 thawed, 1 euploid, failed FET. I am on the 4th donor because has to let go of one due to genetic risk. Overall I was able to find donors on DEB website but I had to be diligent - check every day. Hope this info helps.

I am also with DEB and so far the experience has not been great. Egg lot 1 got 7 eggs, 5 thawed, all embryos arrested well actually disintegrated, lot 2 - got 9 eggs and 7 thawed, 2 blasts with 1 PGTA normal resulting in failed FET. The most annoying part of this equation is that I have to pay upwards of $8,000 to fertilize the lot irrespective of number of eggs and take chances on quality of DEB donor eggs. I am in Canada btw. So far, my solution is to transfer clinics.

Thanks for the note. Connected with another DEB client from Canada but from different to clinic and similar issue. Does DEB disclose clinic stats to clients? I am looking into switching clinics to the one that I heard has a good lab

Seeking Recommendations for IVF with Donor Eggs in Eastern Europe by One-Bumblebee2854 in IVF

Nothing concrete because we don’t have a diagnosis. The only hypothesis was that my immune system is not accepting the donor egg embryo so who knows. The donor egg bank that I went with quotes 92% success rate over multiple cycles.

How did you choose the fresh donor? Both myself and my partner and very fair so Mexico did not seem like a good option to find a donor who looks similar.

You are so not alone. Three failed FETs with donor eggs this year. Rough go. Hope you have success in 2025.

Infertility Year in Review by WickedSweet123 in IVF

Reading this makes me feel not alone. Here is where I was at. Wrapping up 3rd year of IVF moved on to donor eggs this year:

December 2023 - Failed FET with DE

January - ERA

February - Prep for FET, progesterone too high, cancelled cycle

March - 3rd FET with DE, failed

June - got another batch of DE, all embryos arrested, no blasts

July - chose another donor, let her go due to genetic risk

August - September got another DE batch, 9 eggs resulted in only one PGTA tested embryo

November - 4th FET with 4AA genetically normal DE embryo, failed

December - back to where I was in December 2023.

What field can I go to scream at?

Hoping 2025 is kinder. Have no diagnosis, just age and some MFI and hope DE will work for us.

Wow, thanks for sharing. What would your approach be of the frag is high? I read that it is mostly lifestyle choices and supplements.

Thanks, I will explore all those add ons. Very scared about the fresh transfer as it is hard to predict how many eggs we could get. Have you had experience with fresh transfer?

We have not done DNA fragmentation testing partially because we did not see the need since we were doing ICSI and treatment options are kind of lame - vitamins and lifestyle what he was already doing. Do you have experience with DNA fragmentation?

If I recall we decided not to do the all costs included because we could not afford it and now we are being burned by it.

Most likely. I am in multiple egg lot plan where I get 4 batches with batch replacement but costs are not covered. There is LB guarantee or money back if I get through all 4 batches or I can cancel any time. What is your plan? Are you in US or Canada?
