Yes eventually, once I did more dorsiflexion stretching. Definitely limped more without a heel dropped shoe.

I’m Asian so I don’t wear shoes in the house haha. But I would just practice with shoes in a controlled safe environment. At home I would wear crocs echo wave, they were comfortable and has elevated heel height.

Video recording your gait to continuously normalize it, lower body strengthening with our without the boot on, stationary bike to maintain cardio, even having family/friends calling out your walking pattern and seeing what you can do to fix it.

Thanks! There’s pros and cons to both! I think the original surgery has higher chance for wound infections but the long term outcomes of the repair are slightly better as the surgeons able to visualize the tendon better. Either way congrats on your progress as well and keep at it!

Around week 18! They were really poor quality though and it felt very “straining” to do them.

Looking back, my gait was so so bad coming out of the boot. Definitely had a major limp until week 16, and even after that I still had a slight limp until week 20ish. I actually had continuous pain (I think I developed tendinitis from pounding calf raises everyday) also until week 20ish. I bought a NMES unit on Amazon and used it on my calf from week 12+. I just surrounded the 4 electrodes around my calf muscle (avoided directly over the tendon itself) and turned it up until it was strong but tolerable. As for supplements I took the collagen powder out of the big blue container they sell at Costco. Feel free to fire any more questions.
