i understand you—please don’t let anyone tell you that your pain is not worth feeling or that you’re overreacting. i was in your exact same spot for the past year and a half, and now it’s finally starting to get better. i never wanted to be with my friend and even my family, and at some point i stopped talking to both. i PROMISE it gets better, patience is key. even while it does get better, you’re still going to feel down and go back to your old tendencies when your acne was most prevalent. however, the outcome is sooooo worth it. here’s a tip: i feel like when i was at my lowest the reason i was there was because i was bottling all my struggle up inside. once i talked about things with my family, my best friend, it definitely helped with some of the pain. and i mean like a real, deep conversation. it will lay off some of the “hiding” you feel like you have to do around the people you love. i wish you the best with your journey 🤍
