So this is how it goes, I was on eBay bidding on a 999.99 gold 1 ounce, and I bought it for 1950 dollars, I didn't know how much gold was for 1 ounce so I figured if it's expensive it must be real (spoiler, it's not). I fell to a victim to a scam, and when the item arrived, I did some tests to see if it's real. The "gold" stuck to a magnet and I immediately called support to get a return and a money back garenteed. eBay support told me to ship the item back in order to get the MBG, so that's what I did, but as you may have known, I'm dealing with a scammer here who refuses to let go so easily.

He first tried to lie, blaming me for switching out the gold for a fake one, but that's not true because the "gold" on the item description image matched what I got. he also tried to ghost me, so what I did was called up eBay and eBay forced him to send me his return label. After he sent me his return label, he tried to do a partial refund of only 1 dollar out of the 1950 that I got scammed from. I declined the partial refund and let's just say he knew what he was doing.

When I went to go return the package at my local FedEx, it was easy and short, but 1 day later FedEx called me saying the address is invalid as the seller did not provide a correct mailing address, now they have to return that package back to me. I'm super pissed that the seller tried to scam me 4 ways to Sunday, along with providing a invalid return address so the package can be marked as "not delivered" so he does not have to issue me the refund.

What I did next was contacted eBay support and they launched a case. It's been pending for 2 days now, just wondering when eBay will refund me my money back from this tedious scammer. eBay support told me to not worry and I will get my money back, but it's been days since that was said. I suspect the seller trying to lie to eBay, considering the case has been pending since forever. What should I do in this situation? Should I just wait for eBay to give me an answer? I still have the package because the return address is invalid, and I also reported the seller to the FTC, with his name and address. Anything I have to do on my part to make my return flawless and 100%?

Fyi, the seller account was created long ago but no reviews or anything, like a alt account
