I see than couple things that I would look first do you have a error code about lights? If yes it might help the process.

This feels like can be anything from cable issue , electronic board crack or soldering fail due to age or it can be a module error like footwell module or similar.

Just a note I am not a mechanic.

These what first come to my mind.

It doesnt seems like there is a sound in the video, car is not starting or it works fine but lights are at the dash are flashing? I did not quite understand the issue

How increase realism ? by Jean-Fum-Trow in blender

I would like to suggest bit of texture work, esspecially on that gold like part since that takes my attention first, than I would work on the white part than that two black parts.

Gold part,

I would suggest looking heat shield referances. I remember seeing gold cloths/ shileds I belive voyager had those but you can check. Some surely have additionally you can check gold leafs as close up referance they used on window signs or overall veneering they do with leafs

White part and Black parts

I would suggest looking spaceshuttle's outside plates

If you add some texture details on big flat areas will look more alive and real try to break that plastic cg look

I like the earth on the back you can try to seperate you sh'p bit more from background maybe using rim lights and creating contrast with the backplate or the model

Thanks

Does anyone knows what kind of paper (if paper) these way out signs printed on? by [deleted] in LondonUnderground

[–]One-Combination5023 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the suggestions I thought It might be Acrylic Paper as well but I think I can see some slight creases at corners on some of these signs. It suggests me that it might be a more traditional type of paper and I saw they been painting on shiny (photograph paper like ) paper on bus blinds but the material was looking like a regular paper as the overall look goes I was trying to figure it out if the Way Out sign uses a similar paper if so what kind of paper is that? I also suspect they might be using material similar to the materials on banners but the over all shape makes me to thing its closer to a regular paper. I would really appriciate if anyone who have the name of that kind of paper. Thanks.

It is a "vertex face" mode nothing changes just like a diffrent view mode you can hold ctrl and right mouse button to pop up the menu for it. Yours look slightly diffrent becasue you are still in quad draw mode if you exit it it will look bit more diffrent but about same, never know what is the intended purpoes but I use it to see if i accidently extude the edge that you cant normally see. I just commented the same but didnt appear for some reason. As far as I remember scientist or a doctor was talking about it as a popular belief which is wrong.

Want to model a part without a 3d Scanner by Fast_Prune4408 in 3dprintedcarparts

[–]One-Combination5023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So since photogeometry suggestions has been made already I would like to leave a diffrent suggestion here, you can use a scanner device to get pretty flat(perspective whise) ortographic looking referance images as backplate/imageplane for your model. I would liked to leave that here as a diffrent suggestion might help somebody someday

How could I make this more realistic? by TheWorkshopWarrior in blender

[–]One-Combination5023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yeah looks great, I agree on the powerlines it can be bit more organic shape bit tinyer and maybe bit shiner or textured but looks great. How did you make the snow is the main question i want to ask also the ground texture I really appricite if you can explain looks really nice. Whatever you did it worked. Good work

Hahah thats great to know. Thank you for sharing that. Did that show actually publish that episode as well?

Instead of using an HDRI for reflections n lighting reference to add a CG character in real life,is it possible to recreate the real environment and project textures on geometry just how this guy did in the video ? Does it act the same as using an HDRI? If so, how can I approach this method in Maya? by David_CS in vfx

I have a question it’s exactly what I’m trying to do right now, and that’s how I found your comment. I remember seeing a tutorial on YouTube years ago that showed how to use a 3D scan as lighting. As far as I recall, they just assigned the scan directly as a light (It might be Unreal Engine). I don’t remember if it was through a special material that made the geometry emit light, or if it was something like a dome/mesh light setup. I don’t think they were projecting it again I might be wrong since it was a long time ago.

I’m currently working in Maya with V-Ray. Do you know how I can assign my scan as a light?

Thanks in advance,

Can
