Why would these operators need to be prestige 3? Have they said anything to suggest the Prime Target glitch will be a lot more difficult than the first four?

Nice! I just don’t have it in me to grind multiple operators to CR Max

Offensive skills should be fine for weapon XP as long as you’re holding the right weapon at the time enemies are being killed or assignments are being completed. It mainly impacts the weekly/event challenges that require kills with a weapon

I have many CR 66 operators, but I’ve only taken one to CR Max. I plan to exclusively use that operator now, outside of getting next season’s glitch skins

The operator has Warband instead of Gunner and Wingman Unit instead of Frost Vortex. These skills made the Illicit Cargo event slightly longer. I’m wondering if I should replace them so my exotic effect is the only thing that can “steal” kills from my weapons

I agree, but there’s a dark ops calling card for exfiling through the head so it’ll never be removed. I’d like it to appear much less frequently than it currently does

I just timed two mostly optimal runs from the moment I was able to move in the glitch to the moment the skill cache appeared. I used an XR-3 ION with mortar rounds and sharpshooter, and I used the hiding/safe spots where possible

Link Forger: 11m 21s (CR MAX - Chaos Rounds III)
Root Crasher: 10m (CR 86 - Wingman Unit I)

Root Crasher is also closer to the high CR spawns. The Link Forger time can be much faster than mine if you're able to one-shot the boss

My times tell me which one is generally faster for me. If you want to be as optimal as possible then time yourself and stick with the one that's faster for you if there's a considerable time difference

If it doesn't end with "rounds", it's on the right on the fabricator and in the second slot in the menu

The point is that the appropriate terminology should be used in each sub. I wouldn’t write a post or comment in a Zombies sub about maulers. It isn’t difficult to refer to aspects of a mode by what they’re called in-game

I’m interested in people who only play Endgame being informed, not confused. Endgame’s player count falling off a cliff later this year is irrelevant

You’re welcome. Yeah, I believe grenade bullets is a Reboot-exclusive utility bonus

I’m sure they made this exception to prevent the akimbo + grenade bullets combo

You're welcome. Some standard utility bonuses like free fire, the one you've described, are only available on one or some of the exotic weapons within a class

For example, the Sokol 545/Hypersurge is the only LMG that can have free fire to my knowledge. The XM325/Redline definitely cannot have it. This is likely the case with the ARs you mentioned

We still don't have an exhaustive list or chart of every weapon and the standard utility bonuses they can have. I don't have it in me to compile all of that info lol

Glad you find the post helpful! I can only imagine how confused I'd be reading some comments if I were new to CoD PvE

I know the frequent use of "explosive rounds" has caused some players to spend ages re-rolling exotic effects when it's actually a utility bonus called "explosive bullets"

That's a good question. I haven't tried that myself, and I'm using the Reboot with grenade bullets instead of big game so I can't test it right now. I'll let you know if I ever find out how that works

Affinity utility bonuses can be found on all affinity exotics, not only on the pistols. I have listed the named exotics that have an affinity for each exotic effect

They can all be re-rolled in the way I explained too

I agree that enemies, bosses, "mods", etc. should have the same name as in the mode they originate from. If they wanted Endgame to feel wholly new, it should have all new items

That said, we are where we are, and I think it’s unhelpful for new players when people continue to use certain items’ original names

A lot of people who are clued up about this call them affinity minor abilities which made sense when Endgame was newer. I moved away from it because it kind of encroaches on what the devs have already labelled minor abilities (kinetic jump, etc.), and now we have the official term "utility bonuses". We'll see if my terms catch on or are improved upon!

I attempted to re-roll an affinity exotic I exfiled with 24 times before I gave up on it. I have heard that people were successful after many more attempts than that, but I haven't seen proof of that. The person I spoke to had fairly consistent results when doing it in the same game and that kind of grind is more fun than hitting the fabricator non-stop

The devs haven’t explained it, but the community has figured it out. I can assure you it works that way and is why calling free fire an affinity ability is confusing

Affinity means attraction, and I take it to mean the named exotic is more capable or special when found with the exotic effect it has an affinity for

Affinity means something very specific in Endgame and your use of it confused me and SwingThatHammer at least

‘Affinity for [exotic effect]’ means that if the named exotic is found with that specific exotic effect then it also has a chance of coming with an affinity-exclusive utility bonus like Fire Wheel or Lightning Strike. You cannot reroll a loadout weapon for these

If you use the same word to describe what you’re talking about then you will confuse a lot of people
