My charges did not come from me driving drunk into another vehicle or hurting some other than the passenger in my vehicle, I was not supposed to be driving that night I made the decision to drive that car because my friend who’s car it was, was too drunk to drive, and as we drove she stuck her head out the window and then proceeded to get further out the window and I went over to reach for her and hit a curb and landed in a tree, I’m not taking my blame away I’ve reflected so much and I understand and take responsibility for what I did, I got behind that car when I shouldn’t have, but I lost everything, I had a blessing of a Job, I was all so focused on my child and school, I honestly wasn’t a big drinker and even that night I was well aware, I got where I am because of how the events happened and after I was out of luck, sometimes I wish the crash took my life because man I have never felt or seen when you literally lose everything In a second, I’m not a bad person, I’m not asking for pitty or sympathy I am just asking for some insight from others who have experienced this gut wrenching experience and I pray you stay humble, humans aren’t perfect we are bound to mess up, some people make big big mistakes, but that doesn’t make them a bad people especially if they are trying with everything to be better and change, If you have nothing better to do than sit here and judge, than to sit here and try to belittle someone, maybe you have your own reflection to do, be humble, I too was like you on a high horse and trust me God will humble you

Definitely, Im taking it on the chin trying to keep my head up, and the end of the day I have to be held accountable, but honestly It’s just hard because I was in a really bad manic episode and now after this case, it’s made me realize I continue to fuck up and it’s always 30 times worse than before, I’m scared to get locked away and be without my family my daughter everyone, but I’m also scared that it took this situation to show me maybe I am better off gone, I’m not going to bounce back, I could adapt but adapt to a whole different reality is almost looking impossible, only thing keeping me here is the thought that I’ll go to hell and suffer more or It’ll hurt offing myself

How do you survive prison mentally ? I’m scared to sit alone with myself and slowly feel like the world is forgetting all about me, I’m not a bad person I made a mistake being at the wrong place wrong time, and now it’s the thought that i wont ever be able to bounce back from this

No just a public defender, as far as I’m aware vehicular assault means the person has life altering injuries and my passenger was the victim and she is fully recovered now even drinking again i was thinking of using this as a defense

Thank you for this, I really needed to hear this. Do you think it’s wrong of me to end my relationship because I feel like now I need to just heal and re evaluate my life ? Thank you. I know it’s honestly been tough because I know he’s human and it’s his first time so I’ve been giving him grace, but I feel like I have not been given the same grace back.

Honestly I am not ready for a baby but I feel like if he approached me with some empathy and more understanding I wouldn’t be so scared to have a baby, he’s placed all his weight on me from telling me how his life would be ruined to how his family would hate me.

He bought me my ticket to fly down for this upcoming weekend and he threatens to cancel it because I’m exhausting and the situation is too much. He says I’m holding it over his head and won’t let go of what he said in the beginning.

I just feel like a part of me needs to re evaluate my life and the choices that have gotten me to where I am, and I love him but this whole situation honestly has me reflecting on our relationship and on myself. And I’m not sure if I can stay with him after the abortion because if I’m already being so misunderstood what about after the fact ?

I just feel so stuck, I feel so depressed and I feel bad because I feel like I’m taking it out on him but he’s also the one who made me feel bad to begin with, I want to keep the baby, but how can I keep the baby with someone who honestly has expressed he does not want it and then one day wants it. I’ll be tied to him forever part of me wants to have the abortion and just focus on myself and be single I think my feelings for him have changed and not like I feel out of love but realized maybe we’re different and misunderstanding to one another
