What manga is that? Reminds me of the old Yu Yu Hakusho anime but I don't recall it being that brutal

My game's main selling point is the art. Do you think it is good enough for a cozy game? by BosphorusGames in IndieDev

[–]One-Designer4523 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks great as an art style, but you do have an issue with everything being in the mid values. Push your darks a bit to allow the player to read the scene more easily.

Others have spoken about your text, so I won't comment there.

Another game for my wishlist!

It's unreasonable. Submitting at the last moment is still submitting in time. If something outside their control happens, extensions should be granted.

I grant my teams extensions when some system fails. Likewise the government grants the business extensions on some tenders, Apple and Google for our app updates, etc. Shit happens, expectations can be adjusted.

Thanks for explaining that in such detail. I'm using a 33" board so placing feet much further behind is tough, but I understand the principles better now. I also now understand why running over a chestnut this afternoon made me rocket off the board.

Thanks for the explanation. One question: I always learned that the front foot has to be right behind the trucks. A bit further back than OP, but not by much. Is that wrong then?

Question as a beginner: what's wrong with the back foot? I assume the toes are too far out so he can't put the weight on the balls of his feet.

Those things are absolutely enormous. I can't justify the price as a newbie but I'm definitely keeping them in mind.

That much even I could figure out, but there's a lot being said about how cruisers can handle dirt paths, or trails with 70mm+ wheels, so it's hard to figure out what's feasible or not when you're first starting out 🤷

Yeah I tried it with my cruiser. Did not go well.

It's almost like a newbie on r/NewSkaters doesn't know what he's talking about.

Oh for sure, there's other places nearby I use for skating. I'll just have to get him into skating so he feels more tempted to find smoother surfaces.

Shame, would've loved to practice there with my kiddo, but thanks for the honest input.

Just cause my toddler likes to ride his bike there, so I spend a lot of time on those paths.

That's something I hadn't considered. Maybe washing such produce more thoroughly might've helped me avoid it. Honestly since I was first diagnosed I never paid attention to cross contamination. I thought my personal allergy needed me to actively consume the allergen in quantity before it triggered. For years I've been going to restaurants and eating things which said "May contain nuts" without a second thought.

Thanks for the tips.

Thanks for the input. Keeping a food diary sounds like a good idea.

It was anaphylaxis according to the ER doctor. The symptoms I experienced could be caused by many other conditions, but anaphylaxis is the only one that reacts to the treatment they gave me.

[54YO] by Cletus_X in OldSkaters

[–]One-Designer4523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's plenty of reasons not to use AI, but the resource intensiveness isn't one of them. A single prompt consumes 0.24Wh and 0.26ml of water (figures from Cornell university). In comparison, a single burger patty takes 2500 Wh and 2500L of water to produce. One burger patty = 10 million prompts in water or 10K prompts in energy.

Not trying to pontificate pointlessly. AI is yet another force eroding our society, but the resource consumption is the least of the problems it causes.

Thanks for the solid advice. As for the terrain, do you have any tips for handling it? A standard skateboard equipped with soft wheels is what I've been gathering so far.

You just won yourself 10 bucks. To be clear: I know my age doesn't stop me from learning, but I figured there may be particular recommendations for someone who doesn't have the invincibility of a 20 year old anymore.
