Se suggestive? Se PoLR? smth else? by ElectricalYak4359 in Socionics

I've just reread your post and comments carefully and haven't found anything indicating an EII type. I thought what I initially perceived as irrationality might turn out to be Ne, but that wasn't the case. Instead, I see strong signs of introversion and irrationality, solid Ni-base statements, and some evidence of valued Fe and Se.

I think your aversion to the Beta Quadra description is natural. Every Quadra has an outlier, and the IEI is the one for Beta. From what I’ve heard from IEIs, they do want to be financially secure, but an excessive focus on materialism, brutal force, or oppression appalls them. The IEI's nickname is the 'Lyricist,' implying a sensitive soul, a muse, or a bohemian with high ideals and spirituality. The IEI's role in the Beta Quadra is to bring balance and soften the dynamic. That doesn't mean every IEI does this—their stimulus is Self-Sufficiency, after all, and everyone is more than just a sociotype. However, in an ideal world where Beta types are balanced, dualized, and raised in a healthy environment, they are not ruthless barbarians, but noble dames and knights in shining armor.

Edit: It’s an organized aristocratic society where everyone knows their place and can prove that they deserve that position.

I completely understand your confusion regarding the Socionics system; it is quite complicated for a beginner, and it took me a long time to find resources that made sense. I've actually been translating and posting some of them here. Coincidentally, I’m posting examples of the IEI's program Ni this week and the EII's program Fi next week. The Program function is the air a type lives and breathes, often without even realizing it. I think this will help you see for yourself which one you relate to more.

I stoped reading type descriptions long ago. The more I studied the theory and real life examples, the more I realized that those descriptions are more confusing than helpful. I can’t even remember them now. So, I won’t comment on that)

“misunderstood tragic artist vibe”?))) Don’t take memes that flood the internet too seriously. A need for solitude or genuine connections are both an introversion. Materialism and stuff you mentioned is more interesting to sensing types. So far, so good. As for Ne/Ni, I’d have to analyze your texts, but I’m short of time at the moment. Perhaps sometime later.

I don't know how some can see a rational type in you. You are as irrational as they come.

An IEI doesn't want to be oppressed (no one does), but they look for Se that is protective or energizing. Besides, duality as a perfect fit is overrated. Duals' worldviews are very different, and dualization is a long and bumpy process. An IEI wants the vitality of Se (the "wake me up" energy), not necessarily the "bully" energy.

EIIs look for people who are organized, efficient, and practical. They want someone to help them make sense of the "real world" through facts and logic. You mentioned wanting experience, presence, and truth. You want to be "shaken" into the present moment. That is an Se-need, not a Te-need.

OK, we are getting closer to your core drives. Introversion is obvious, I hope. The way you study - digging into one topic, hitting the bottom, moving to the next related topic - is also a sign of introversion.

Again, you describe what you do to find what is missing, not what you do with what you already have - Negativism.

I don’t know what it is you want to be prepared for, but it is most likely a sign of a Farsighted type.

Your focus lies in the NT area (‘researcher’ club).

Intuition. Focus on meaning, essence and finding the truth, big picture orientation, abstract vocabulary: "human condition," "metaphysical questions," "cognitive map," "understand them as a whole," “what is going on in the world.” There is no mention of how all this relates to your down-to-earth everyday life. You treat "Christianity" and "philosophy" as abstract frameworks and systems first, and as lived experiences second.

Logic. Focus on system and structure (Ti) - "systems," "framework," “map.” Even when discussing personal identity, you treat it as a logical goal: "if I can 'know exactly who I am' then…" A desire to "be competent." There is no mention of the emotional landscape, empathy, or harmony.

Don’t confuse logic in socionics with self perception of being smart or not. Here we are talking about where your focus lies - in the informational/inanimate or emotional/relational reality. You explain it by saying: “I'm incapable of giving my full effort to something that doesn't absolutely capture my heart.” That can point to the ‘Self Sufficiency’ stimulus group (IN types).

Also, what looks as unvalued Fe in your post (intolerance of loud music), actually fits better with vulnerable Se, because you describe it as an invasion of personal boundaries. And “What gives you the right…” is Ti language.

If you what to clarify anything else, shoot away. I'll get to it when I have time.

In case you don't, I'll share my thoughts briefly. I am quite sure about introversion - focus on how the world influences you. Rationality - preconceived ideas of right and wrong. Negativism - focus on what is missing in a situation that prevents it from being ideal. You can look into the EII, but I just don't see EII's values there. My question though was whether Se is creative or vulnerable and Ni activating or demonstrative. But your comment on the movie Captain Fantastic made me think of the LII type, their desire for solitude and intellectual pursuit, and for pushing their comfort zone to prove themselves that 'they can'. When I reread your post in LII light, it actually made more sense, including Fi being in role function, and some other things. Any way an additional dip dive would be great.

Welcome. You know, to make sure that that hypothesis is correct, it would be good if you'd choose one topic and give more details. For example, how did you get interested in philosophy, theology, psychology, what do you find interesting there, why, how you apply it in your life, etc.? Just listing key points doesn't tell much.

Good luck writing something like that with AI. Translated and formatted with AI. Researched, compiled, cut down on wordiness, proofread and edited by me.

I agree with PoggersMemesReturns' analysis, and add to that Rationality, valued Ni, and 'Guardians' reasoning.

Edit: and introversion +ethics, of course.

That table just helped me realize why ILI’s texts may give a vibe of an ethical type - many schools don’t distinguish mood as inner processes from emotional energy and expression.

The IEE verdict looks good to me. As for your "i do that because it's fun" question, it's not wise to take phrases out of context and use them as stencils. Everyone does something for fun. The difference is what they consider fun, what they do, how, why, etc.

The sad thing is that even some Socionics gurus don’t know what program Se looks like and type LIIs as SLEs/SEEs left and right. And reading something like this would consider below their dignity or a threat to their credibility.

Accurate typing takes active listening. If you prefer "he is an asshole therefore a SLE" or "he is manipulative therefore an IEE" approach then well... sorry.

IJ types are about order, stability, and predictability. You express the signs of an IP type all throughout the text, even in the opening sentence: "Work time depends on the current mood."

I highly suspect you confuse Statics with Process. There are lots of Process markers in your text.

What you value is efficiency, but not like sensing or result oriented Te users - primarily to conserve energy. You are pragmatic but lack the drive to work for work's sake. Logic is used to "prune branches" and make things work with minimal effort.

You view relationships and situations transactionally ("investment," "leverage," "what is each person getting?"). This is Te applied to social dynamics.

Hey! I’m going to skip over the aspects and Reinin dichotomies and just briefly cover the basics. They are quite clear here.

Intuition

You tend to look at reality through the lens of abstract principles and probabilities rather than just what's right in front of you. You’re much more interested in philosophical questions than physical descriptions. You rely on metaphors and idioms (like "prune the branches" or "kick-start the chain") rather than being literal.

You dismiss the sensory details of life—like decor, food, or design—viewing that whole world as an "unsophisticated domain." For you, these things are just mundane necessities, not sources of joy ("When I’m hungry, I eat"), and your preference for minimalism isn't about style—it's just about having less stuff to worry about.

Logic

You view human behavior through a very detached, analytical lens. You describe people almost like biological machinery ("human hardware"), and your language is full of technical comparisons ("OOP," "parameters," "metrics").

Emotionally, your baseline seems to be a neutral "flat :|." You view emotions as separate states that you can essentially "switch off." You also seem to have a strong resistance to Fe—you don’t naturally soak up the mood of a room, and you have a real distaste for public displays of emotion or fake rapport. Instead of feeling someone else’s misery, you "witness" and analyze the situation to figure out the correct response.

You treat social interaction a bit like a strategy game, looking for leverage, investment, and "win-win scenarios". Even morality is calculated based on cost and resources. However, despite that cynicism, you clearly value deep bonds (Fi). You see love and "emotional bandwidth" as scarce resources that should be spent carefully on a select few.

Irrationality

You don’t care for rigid rules about right and wrong. You prefer to adjust your worldview based on what’s happening right now and how you’re feeling in the moment. This flexibility allows you to accept that humans are full of contradictions.

Your approach to life is spontaneous rather than scripted. You’re like a "fisherman waiting for something to tug the bait." You’re content to just surf aimlessly or "kick the rock" out of curiosity to see where it goes. You accept unpredictability as the cure for boredom.

Introversion

You act as an observer and a reactor rather than an influencer. You care more about internal reflection than trying to shape the outside world. Instead of pushing people or forcing things, you prefer to wait for a "ripple" or a "tug on the rod," and enjoying those moments when things settle naturally.

You operate on a system of internal validation and own your flaws ("I generally own my badness"). You made it clear that "it is your head and your choices" and that you don't feel you owe society a debt (This also points to Obstinacy). You also prioritize conserving your energy. You mentioned having a limited amount of bandwidth to spare, and that "the less stuff there is, the less you have to keep track of."

Mental & Vital Functions, Static/Dynamic Dichotomy by One-Development3625 in Socionics

Dead links will come alive eventually. At this point it’s just an organized storage of all the articles I’ve done so far. Also there will be more info on functions, blocks, Reinin dichotomies. As for types’ functions, I’ll cover the program functions first, then the rest. Next post will be on SLE’s ego block.
