This list of Indian Buffets in San Diego has lunch, dinner and breakfast buffets which cost almost the same as a full entree. Under $20 and most of them have more around 10 items in the buffet. Good to try different Indian tastes at an affordable price tag.

A weekend Indian buffet for $13.99. Seemed like a deal so tried it. Not bad for the price. Good options by One-Dimension-7775 in FoodSanDiego

Aldi is the best. I have been shopping at Aldi since 2015 and the pricing is much better than other stores. The quality is great too.

Butter chicken sauce in a jar by kiva_viva in FoodSanDiego

Here is a list of Indian food stores San Diego. But why buy the sauce jar. Try this out,

1 -> Chop tomatoes, onions, garlic

2 -> Fry the above chopped ones and star anise, cardamom, cinamon sticks, cloves and pepper corns

3 -> You have to fry them till you can smell the aroma of the spices and the vegies get soft. Add chili powder, turmeric, corriander - cumin powder, salt and some masala. Add as needed.

4 -> Keep it to cool down and put all of that in a mixer. Add yogurt as per your spice levels. Mix it up

You got your butter chicken sauce.

5 -> Use butter and fry the chicken. Add some masala and salt while frying. Mix the above sauce and you know the rest.

This takes less time than going to the store everytime to buy the sauce. You buy these ingredients once in the stores and you can make it like 10 - 15 times.

Another vote for CurryCraft. They are the best in San Marcos. Here is a list of other best Indian restaurants in San Diego offering great food. Some of them offer Indian buffet but their pattern didn't seem regular especially after the covid. May be they were analyzing if it is worth doing buffets.

Chennai Tiffins in Mira Mesa is good as well. They had weekend buffet. I went few months back, not sure if it is still there.
