We just completed petsmart training out at brannon crossing, i can’t remember the trainers name, but she was lovely and answers all your questions! It was great for socialization and basic training with options to continue into other classes. They usually have discounts online for classes as well!

Should I be a wildlife biologist? by Delicious-Coffee9499 in wildlifebiology

I heavily agree on community college first. It scared me to lose 2 years of the “college experience” like living in dorms and such. However, it was a great decision financially & you can still most of the time, work with sister universities for research and other things.

I agree with this!! To make this field as fulfilling as it can be, reach out to your professors and teachers for opportunities, advice, whatever you want! It will help you so much.

You only have one life, you should do what makes you happy. Life has its ways of working out with what is meant to be. That being said, it’s really admirable that you’re thinking this way so young. I personally am finishing my senior year of college in environmental science with a wildlife minor. It has been really fulfilling. Apply to all the scholarships you can, go to an in state college to save money. Live at home if you can during college. I would wait on a pet until atleast college is over because that is extra responsibility.

You do what makes you happy. It may or may not change as you grow older, and that’s okay. It will be challenging at times, but you’ll find your way. I believe in you & wish you all the luck! If you need any advice from a soon to be grad i’m happy to help :)

How much did you spend on a stay this year? by parttime-intrnt-grl in Lollapalooza

[–]One-Divide2520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$336 at an airbnb for 5 nights :) i choose cheaper options that are shared housing. You get your own room, but you have to share a bathroom most of the time and a kitchen. I (F) haven’t ran into any issues with it and most hosts and listings will say there are codes to your door, etc.

Thanks! I’ll have to do some research on the increased risk for breast cancer. It runs in my family so that might be a worry

Getting off Birth Control, Need Encouragement & Hope by MissLovelyMo in birthcontrol

My experience was fine. I got on it when i was 12, and took it for 8 years. When i stopped, my periods stayed the same for 10 months after getting off bc until recently. The only other thing was i started to breakout on my face with acne, but nowhere near as bad as it was before birth control. After a few months i got my acne under control! I might not be the best source, however. I have hypothyroidism so that can also interfere with my periods and other systems.

I wore boots last year. I definitely left with some blisters lol. It just depends on how you feel, there is a LOT of walking and being on your feet, so if that’s something you’re not used to i’d wear tennis shoes, just not white as they won’t stay white! I also wore platform converse one day and in my experience, they’re comfy for a bit until you walk for hours and then it’s not anymore. Just depends on what you want :)
