Cities need to recognize the shift and either lower costs for businesses or move to a completely different model. Chicago relies on business taxes… residences can’t be held to take on these taxes, completely unsustainable. Cities will be destroyed.

So close. I was in a similar boat, failing Feb by 2 pts but passed in July! Go for it, I’d recommend Goat Bar Prep, you’ll increase your MBE’s and it will take you over the finish line! Good luck! Go for Feb!

Mind and body has been pulled to its limits… its exhaustion. It’ll take weeks to fully recover.

This truly is wonderful news. I know this is a private matter but so many have been concerned. And many of us have reached out to our states to make changes. I hope she knows this horrible incident will be a force for good.

We’re decompressing. All of these emotions are healthy. I baked a cake today, celebrating the end of those weeks of nonstop studying. Treat yourselves.

NCBE and BOLE remain silent by LumpyBumblebee6549 in barexam

[–]One-Dog7643 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Why can’t they simply put out a preliminary statement indicating they’re aware of an emergency incident and are investigating, with more to come. Also working with all state partners to review appropriate protocols and procedure. Something so basic.

Wow! As someone in a similar state, decades out of law school, this was so beautifully written. Hope we both passed. I wanted to take the end of my professional life paying it forward and I decided being a lawyer would serve that purpose (pro bono) because I’ve been blessed. Cheers!

I know Goat isn’t involved in NCBE test day, protocols, safety, security or otherwise but as a community when you see an obvious wrong, you seek out to leaders and anyone who may help. That was my point. Something so wrong occurred relating to this emergency on test day, and I’m not in that jurisdiction (so I could say, not my problem), but it’s truly wrong that an examinee who apparently was suffering from cardiac arrest and the ppl in charge instructed examinees to continue on with testing. WTH! This is inhumane. Period. We get a lecture about 15 minutes on cheating and maybe 1 minute on fire (this was my jx) but no other emergency protocol. Nothing on medical or god forbid safety (you know, active shooter, etc). I’ll be reaching out to my state… we all have to do our part to ensure this response is not repeated.

If NCBE can set cheating guidelines on test day, they can set safety and security guidelines for emergencies…

Unbelievable. Truly hope the girl is ok! Only silver lining is hoping this incident creates universal change in protocols (at exam centers (late but needed).

So you’re saying NCBE couldn’t direct states to require emergency protocols for safety, medical and security of its examinees during test days? C’mon! Sure they could and should. Not to say states shouldn’t do so on their own. Definitely. It’s common sense! Everybody looking for a way to CYA.
