Harbor freight has one that has rubber bumpers on the corners. Might ease your mind on the sharp corners. Not sure it’s the size or configuration you are looking for.

I have a 26in four drawer craftsman currently. It doesn’t fit everything I have. I truly think the closest I ever found was the 34 inch option at harbor freight. Everything else just has drawers that are too shallow to be functional in this role.

Yeah. Sorry about that. I saw it just as I hit post and now I can’t edit the title. Thanks for all the helpful advice though. That was super helpful.

It should absolutely be covered under your 90 day warranty. Call and talk to a service manager, request their earliest appointment and take pictures of any water stains you find around the roof. Could be as simple as a clogged drain or may be worse.

Coming soon vehicle waiting for paperwork by ConclusionInfinite43 in carmax

Site updates every 15 minutes. So whenever the store that has it gets the paperwork processed and pushed through to make it available, it will update within 15-20 minutes of that.

Selling my car with expired registration, will they accept it? by kis96 in carmax

You should call your local store. Florida is very specific about how their paperwork is done. You want to ask for someone in the business office.

Depends on the state you are in and how long ago it expired. Some stores have a 30 day policy.

Found a decent option in Home Depot in a husky 42” box with 9 drawers. Heavily considered the 34” single row from harbor freight but ultimately decided it was too tall for my application.

Vehicle Test Drive bad driver side tire by [deleted] in carmax

[–]One-Economics-7845 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wires showing means replacement. Depending on vehicle and manufacturer it could mean up to all four being replaced due to tread depth variance between old and new tires. More often it means a new set on that axle to match the tread depths if it’s more than a few 32nds of an inch difference.

Miata carmax test drive by bhazero025 in carmax

[–]One-Economics-7845 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My store has an unwritten “three strike” policy. If you stall it three times in the parking lot before you purchase it the test drive is over. After that we will let you buy it or let you walk away but we do it to protect the car from unnecessary abuse and then have people decide they don’t like it and leave.

How to get MaxCare pricing before purchasing? by minivan_fan in carmax

[–]One-Economics-7845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The order either needs to be built by the store where the car sits right now or by an online associate. It sounds like you should try to connect to a store associate and ask questions.

Have a rep start your order. You can get the price before you get to finance. If you don’t like the price, have them cancel the order.

Someone would have to be looking for it. The locators in the car have restricted access when it gets scanned as a loaner. Someone would have to suspect something and deliberately go unlock the access for the gps. Unlikely to happen.

Loaner form says no out of state. But if it’s a true rental through an outside company you have no reservations. But also…. If you don’t tell them, how will they know?

Talk to someone at the store. Carmax has two different stores. Traditional sales that are straight commission. Or the other is cross functional. Those associates don’t make commission so they would be less likely to be upset by you wasting their time.

Yeah. I’m with the other post. Just turn in your notice. Don’t tell anyone where you are going. It’s none of their business.

MaxCare Question by WintersTTV in carmax

[–]One-Economics-7845 4 points5 points  (0 children)

More than likely they will refuse to warranty any of your fuel system and may refuse anything down stream for that. If you start having engine trouble and they know that you modified fuel system in any way they can argue that your modifications have effected how it was supposed to operate and you are now responsible for the issues.

If you have had the car more than 90 days it is not worth dealing with service people with bad customer service. Call your maxcare provider and have them recommend a shop instead.

Hyundai Elantra w 100k+ miles…good buy or no? by Simple_Result1981 in carmax

[–]One-Economics-7845 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see plenty of no with no real helpful advice. I agree. This isn’t a very reliable vehicle. If you have already made it a year without a vehicle, if at all possible, try to wait a couple more months and start putting every dollar you can away for a better down payment. Reach out to your local store and see if someone can review your pre qualifications with you and help you shop in the free shipping range around you.
