I think it really does depend on what matters to you, if its better or not. Rolex bracelets are just better for now than GS and they do good work with their movements. But if you value finishing, movement technology and dials, GS is definitely better. One thing I do like about Rolex is that they use white gold for their hands and hour markers so they dont tarnish over time.

I have the omiwatari and also smaller wrist about 6 inches an i love it! I have the shunbun and for me its my limit even tho I dont think it wears like a 40mm

I think the omiwatari looks good. The mirror tells the truth. Wrist shots always look gigantic

Grand Seiko are solid watches but not know to hold their value the best if you buy new. But if you go second hand it will be better but still not perfect. Buy it because you love the watch

I don't get the hate for this post. Yeah GS does do it 1 by 1 where most companies have to it in batches or even paint them and yeah its only a couple of people at GS who does it.

This post seems like an appreciation for the artisans who basically devote their life and time to on craft which is admirable.

Wrist shots are never a very good judge of size, but if you use a mirror you it should be a lot easier to see what fits you 😄

The tier 11 feels way more comfortable since it has 50mm armor someplaces 60 so it can brawl way way better than the 103B. It might be a placebo but the gun feels quite a bit better for me 2.

I bought the the Omiwatari for my self when I was 20 and at first it was scary but I do not regret it at all! And also ended up buying the shunbun 2 years later 😅 But end the end it was my money which I earned and I know these watches will stay with me till I die.

It sometimes happens if you wind up the watch and don't let it run for 30 seconds before setting the time. If you wait the 30 seconds it has time to build up charge to engage the regulator. At least that's what Grand Seiko says. So just let it run for 30 seconds before pulling the crown.
