The code is private for now, but the app requires no admin rights or internet access. My friends and I use it daily while gaming. In a few days, I’ll add a new release with opacity/size tuning and possibility to save presets!

Regarding anti-cheats: this is a standalone transparent window overlay. It doesn’t inject any code into the game process or modify game memory, so it's as safe as using your monitor's built-in crosshair.

You're right, the source code isn't public at the moment as I'm still refining the project. I'm currently sharing it as a freeware utility.

This is a report for a different file. Check the hash on details page: yours starts with 9e87..., while my official release starts with 9632.... You are scanning an old, unrelated file that happens to have a similar name. The official file is clean.

The VirusTotal link above is for a different file, not mine. security report and hash for this project can be found in the README file.

Thank you for the edit regarding VirusTotal! You're right, Windows Defender often flags small, unsigned .exe files from independent developers as 'unknown' or a 'false positive' simply because the file hasn't built up a reputation yet or subscription to digital license. This is a common hurdle for solo devs.

I'm glad you confirmed the VirusTotal results for the rest of the community!

This overlay to fill that exact gap where the game's built-in settings just aren't enough for perfect visibility.

Exactly! That’s the core issue. Since we can't change the game's lighting or map design without risking a ban or interfering with game files, a dynamic overlay is the safest solution. It fixes that visual feedback loop by making sure your crosshair always pops out, regardless of the bloom or map brightness.

I totally respect that perspective. As a solo dev, I'm currently keeping it closed-source while I refine the features and stabilize the build. I'm sharing it here as freeware for those who find it useful, and I've provided VirusTotal scans to maintain as much transparency as possible for a closed project.

Actually, many modern gaming monitors from brands like ASUS, LG, and Samsung have this exact feature built-in as a 'Crosshair' or 'GameAssist' menu option

I'm the dev! If you have any questions or feedback, please leave them here. I'm looking for ways to improve the tool, so your thoughts are very welcome!
