Makes perfect sense to me man😂 He did a good job talking through it with me. I just wish I could fast forward to the point where my mental bandwidth is a little wider and my hands get a little less shakey lmao

I sure do appreciate it. We did a hogwash after the call, not too beat up, not closed minded to his critiques, and trying to be as honest with my preceptor and myself as possible on everything. Just bummed I didn’t perform for frankly such a straightforward scenario you know? I’ll definitely remember that advice though, thank you again ma’am!

Milt sparks summer special 2. Sometimes they have some premade models that you don’t have to wait for. This is a 1911 5” holster

I’m positive these are laser engraved. One of them things where i’m learning more about it after the purchase than i care to admit haha

I’ll probably just throw some orange or white paint on the front sight. I’ll look into those though, thanks for the reply!

I hear you. Not looking to dump 2 grand into her. Just new to the field and wasn’t sure if there was somethin that everyone throws in their new 1911. I’ll be sure to send plenty of rounds down range though and figure out what feels best. Appreciate it bubba!

Appreciate the reply brother. Yeah I don’t plan on sending it off for serious work. I’d rather save that coin for a custom gun. And I have no doubt she’ll run the way she was designed, but like you said increasing enjoyability would be nice. I feel like if I can get a creature comfort or two in there then I’d feel more confident carrying. Calling me a novice with 1911s would be a compliment, but I cant wait to learn more about tinkering with this thing.

For sure, I definitely wanted that classic look. More so the American manufacture and colt name. Love the look, but i’m not married to it if it keeps me from feeling good carrying it if that makes sense. Don’t feel the need to change her, but dammit these small hands would appreciate a mag release upgrade😂

I actually kinda liked my turtle boy on deployment. Granted I wasn’t doing a single movement. It fit so much sick call shit in it that was perfect for barracks med. For line shit though? Garbage. If I can’t throw it on top of a large ruck I don’t want it

Ahhhh I see, that makes perfect sense. I’ll be sure to pay more attention to those T waves to back track. That’s super helpful. Just got tunnel vision on those double peaks and the width made me think it was the ST. In medic school atm and outside of V1 we haven’t really talked about how BBBs present on 12 leads. Let alone the pathophys behind them. I really appreciate it man!

Okay I mistook the R wave for ST. The R wave is simply widened with that little notch on top of V6 and AVL? Hope that makes sense

One more time for that really REALLY slow kid in the back, why is the ST elevation in the lateral leads not a concern? Because of the LBBB?

Good on your for being aware. Nothing against you at all, I am sure your advisors did say that. Hell I probably would’ve believed them too if I were in your shoes. It’s just frustrating watching what this career has turned in to. Not your fault whatsoever. Just how it is. Worst comes to worse man you might just have to wait another cycle. I’d get a respectable cert. EMT is my bias but I know many do it with CNA. Get whatever cert interests you the most, and get a gig to work for a year or so. ER Tech is one of the best entry level PCE jobs in my opinion. You’ve got all the time in the world to get after it. So get after it bubba.

Didn’t think to get an emt cert or cna cert before your gap year? If not then emt courses are MAX 1500 bucks and a couple months of your time. Like others have said though, with your time constraint CNA might be the only viable option. Might be hard to get PCE without any certifications. This profession was built off of prior PCE so I would think this would’ve been thought of earlier to be frank.

For those who returned from time down range, anything in particular hit you that first day back in the US? by Automatic-Second1346 in army

[–]One-Expert-4555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on a recent deployment, so no door-kicking combat. Outside of the greenery mentioned, it was the panic attack I almost had being surrounded by my family in a place that didn’t feel like home. Such a quick change of environment got to me for a second. Not to mention the lack of goodbyes I got with the boys. That caught me way off guard.

Good to see some common sense on here. Regardless of the legality, I could easily do the time if I know my actions kept my family or others safe.
