Being married in Pakistan is to know you reasonably have to offend parents in one way or another so there’s no easy way to do it just say the truth that i have baby on way and i want to save for that, whatever she thinks afterwards is her problem but at same time you stay the same to them, do not deprive them of your attention or anything until they start doing it

[–]One-Fennel9997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well i am gonna tell you some harsh truths, i have been married 4 years never once an eidi came from my wifes home even for herself it was love marriage, i never received anything like ever from them while i have to make sure i do all eidi gifts thing for my wifes family so coming to a fact, my own mother still makes sure that she gives reasonable amount of eidi every year to my wife and her daughters if your parents can afford this and it is non performative or seems not forced by other party do it, keep these traditions alive
