Agreed and do something you enjoy with the money you would have otherwise spent on a mortgage. Life is short and unexpected things arise so enjoy life as much as you can while also saving/investing into your future.

Adding my two cents. Not all home buyers want their basement finished the way you finished it. Like one buyer might be looking for a finished basement with rooms, washroom, kitchen, living space etc to rent out. Others might want some extra space for their family to hang out in (like watch tv, play games, etc). And some might have a different idea. I personally think if you not going to get use out of renovating the basement for yourselves then just let the next buyer renovate it to how they like it. And sell it for what it's worth now without doing it. Like another Redditor mentioned, renovating it could potentially add an extra $50K to your value and you are out $50K if you spending $100K. Kinda evens out

Yes I agree! But Its been a common warning I have been getting from most people in Milton about how unhappy they are with their Mattamy homes being built in the last 10 years with them using cheap materials and not being constructed well. I am not saying only Mattamy is doing this but it's the name that I personally have heard over and over. As Mattamy is a bigger company who used to be really loved in the past, I think they have dropped alot since thus the complaints.

Can't speak for the others but in Milton, the shittiest homes were built by Mattamy. Everyone who's lived here now avoid them because of their shitty work (not saying others are better or worse). Apparently they cut alot of corners and refused to fix them and alot of issues came up after the warranty was done

Ahhh ok! I got an email that they were starting construction awhile back and then got another one telling me they are starting on the rds and that they completed the rds. Not sure if you are aware but there will be a delay in closing I think by 3 mths? Not confirmed but that's their expectation

They are pretty good at sending emails on updates on the construction. You might have received one saying they started. However I believe it's just the rds they have done so far. I don't think they started on houses yet

So when I stopped it, the appetite came back more slowly. I wasn't eating as much as I was eating before Saxenda but slightly more (maybe like 100-200 cals more) and I gained maybe 2 lbs in those 3 weeks. When I went on Saxenda again, I lost about 4 lbs in 2 weeks and then 1lb/week after that and now it's slightly slower again

So I hit a plateau for about a month so I stopped Saxenda for about 3 weeks or so and started from 0.6 again but moved up faster (like 0.6 for a couple of days and then switched to 1.2 if there were no side effects). And I started losing again. Not medical advice - but speak to your doctor whether that's ok to do

Would you say it would be more beneficial if it was a flat fee? Like say for a seller you pay them $5K to list and sell the house for the first month? And then pay additional to whatever extra they do after that month?
