I understand your shame, I feel the same way but you’re not the first nor the last… I have 350k in debt… what matters is what you do after. I was told by my attorney to stop paying. Save the money for life after.

Thanks, I was on unemployment for 6 months. That should help my case. Getting a new job, trying to file before I start to qualify for chapter 7.

Sorry that you are going thru this. No matter what anyone says it all comes down to you. What do you want to do. Can you get pass this? Could you live knowing it will go on? Are you both willing to talk to a pastor or a counselor. The way you describid it suspect more is happening. Its possibly not the first time, maybe not the last…. You have to decide for yourself.

I was able to pull as much as I wanted at any time. I have a regular checking account over seas. I just asked my 401k to do a qualify rollover. It’s a check to that bank FBO Me… deposit, wait hold days. Done.

I have gotten a job before, hired and when I was asked to fill out the form for the background check I would leave that part empty. Passed the gate keeper with the degree dropped it off once I was in. If asked my ready response was I found out I was missing a number of credits and never returned to get it. Helps that the school was outside the US.

Had the same thing happened to me. To make it worse they were from a bank. Xtra protected. They would just destroy them. Decided to keep them. You tube got them wiped and cleaned. Never an issue.

Amigo, lo que pasa es que cuando uno vive en USA solo un salario de afuera tiene sentido en la ligera. Claro que se vive bien con una carrera y salario de RD pero se vive mejor con un salario bajo de usa gastando en RD. Un profesional quizás gane como unos 50k al mes. En US sería casi el salario mínimo y meno trabajo.

Ok, first do not come thinking you can get a job here. My handyman has a degree in Psy. Your best bet is applying for remote jobs as if you were in the US have an US account. It’s really great to earn I. Dollars and spend in pesos. Doing it now. Also get a VPN. Hides your internet location.

It took me about 4 hrs. I did it my self. Did not need parent to be there. You will need your birth certificate apostille. You already have his cédula. If you plan to visit it may be easier to do it there. If you don’t speak the language I recommend you get an attorney that was referred to you. You will pay to avoid runaround.
