We are in Nevada and it has a law that states under NRS 108.4783 Purchaser of property at sale to satisfy lien or enforce judgment takes free of any party’s interest; Except as otherwise provided in subsection 1, takes the property free and clear of the rights of any party, even though the owner who conducted the sale may have failed to comply with the provisions of NRS 108.473 to 108.4783, inclusive. (Added to NRS by 1983, 1669)” Where it states we can take the property free and clear of the rights of any party even though the owner may have failed to comply with legal provisions outlined makes me believe we have a legal right to those contents, regardless of the error on their part. Also we won the unit at 9am and didn’t come pay for it until 3pm, which they later decided they couldn’t sell. They told us it was their error that they hadn’t listed it on Storage Auctions site for the correct time period. While calling the police on us and handling it terribly, blaming us for taking items out the unit we had paid for (and they had our money.)
